Why did God make Adam a natural man? Why didn’t God make him spiritual from the beginning? Oh,” you say, “but God did make him spiritual from the beginning. He made him in His image and likeness so that means he was made spiritual”. If you believe that you are seriously and sadly mistaken. Because Paul said plainly in 1Cor.15:45-50 that Adam was not made a spiritual being when God made him, but a natural being. A living soul. Of the earth earthy. Flesh and blood. And God said in Gen.3:19 that all that Adam was was made from the dust. And to the dust, he shall return. With that cleared up, we will now return to our original question. Why did God make Adam natural and not spiritual from the beginning?
The short answer is that God chose this way to allow man to love Him of his own free will. But, that’s a conclusion reached from considerable study and searching the scriptures. From actually believing what the scriptures plainly say. Instead of being indoctrinated with the lies of satan that promote a focus on salvation by works. So to give a more complete and Biblical answer we need to look at some of what Paul said regarding our need to know the things that will reveal how and why God dealt with mankind throughout history in the way He did. A big clue for us is when Paul says in 1Cor10:11 “Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world have come.”
So Paul shows here that in God’s dealings with mankind we can see how He shows His great love for us. And that it is this that God wanted us who are in this age to be able to understand so that we can know Him as He truly is. A loving and very personal God who wants His creation to love Him in return of their own free will. By seeing the things He has done for mankind since time began. Just as Jesus did which is signified by His saying “Not my will but thine be done”. No greater form of trust can be shown than that of one totally and completely submitting one’s will to another by their free will. And Jesus showed this trust in the Father because He knew the Father’s love.
This is why God did not make Adam a spiritual man from the beginning. Because if He had then our example of God’s loving dealings with men as natural beings, dealings that Paul said God’s response to them was that “in the times of this ignorance God winked at sin” in Acts17:30. Because God is fully aware of all the weaknesses that come with being natural and not spiritual. But, these things would never have been written into God’s record of history so that we could see them and learn from them had God made man spiritual from the beginning. And we who are alive now would never have been able to learn that our God is a God of deliverance. That our God is a God of love.
He loves to save His creation from the power of death. He loves to save us from those who would oppress us. Because He is the ultimate deliverer. This is who God is. It’s why He said in John3:16,17 that He saves from death completely by giving eternal life to all who trust in Him. And has not come to condemn us. So why do so many see Him as one who only punishes bad behavior and can only save those who practice good behavior? Is it because they just don’t know Him? And is this because they have believed the “pulpiteers” they have foolishly entrusted their eternity to? Yes, it is because they have believed the pulpiteers who have been trained in the antichrist system of Roman Catholic and protestant heresy. The sin nature and original sin doctrines of antichrist.
But, we see God’s delivering power in the flood of Noah. While they only see punishment. We see it at Sodom and Gomorrha. While they only see hatred. We see it in David’s defeat of Goliath and the Philistines. While they only see vengeance. We see it in every battle God sent Israel to fight when He told them to destroy all that was there. Men, women, children, and even their animals. While they only see one acting this way because He must obey His own laws. By this, they place the law above God. Which is why we do not hear God’s deliverance taught from these pulpiteers. Because all they see is a God who must punish bad behavior because that’s what a perfect and holy God must do because He is as subject to His laws just as they believe all men are. They say that this is how God deals with everyone who violates His moral code. They say He must because that is what His justice is. And that He is subject to His own justice defined by their perverted sense of what holiness is. So they falsely say that the wages of sin are death means that God must punish with death all who behave outside of this moral code known as God’s law.
But, Jesus said something very different. He said to the church at Ephesus that even though they had all the moral issues right their candlestick would be removed if they do not return to their first love. He said that death reigns only over those who do not believe in Him when He told them that “He who believes in me shall never die”. And that behavior good or bad is not an issue regarding how we are saved. Or whether we stay saved. Not that the believer in Jesus should behave in an immoral way. But, only that morality has no bearing on how or if we stay saved. Because He said that He came to deliver those who are dead so that they can have eternal life. He did not come to make bad people good. He came to give those who are dead eternal life. And He said that this can only happen when we believe in Him. Because when we believe in Him we know Him. And knowing Him is eternal life.
We see the picture God wanted this generation to see that shows His deliverance for mankind by looking at the example of what God did in the days of Noah. And how it was deliverance for mankind from a certain annihilation of the human race. For in it God delivered the only fully humankind that was left on earth at that time. God delivered Noah who God said was “perfect in their generations(genealogies)” and his family. 8 in all among the multitudes that were on the earth then. This is how bad things got for mankind then. These were they who God brought on the ark. It was because the rest had been defiled by the DNA of the fallen angels that they were destroyed in the flood. This shows us that God brought the flood to save mankind. Not destroy them. This shows us that this is what God does. He delivers just as Judges 2:16 says He does. That even when Israel was caught in their idolatry, when they called out to God He delivered them. He did this because He wants us to know that He loves us unconditionally. So He acts by saving us from those who would oppress us. He saves us from the captivity of Satan. This is our God. He is a God who delivers. He delivers all who will trust in Him because everything that God does He does because of His love.
And at Sodom and Gomorrha it was the same. Because Jude tells us that these people Lot and his family were living amongst, and those in the cities around them, went after “strange flesh”. So these were doing just as Gen.6 tells us those in Noah’s day were doing. And had become something other than human themselves by their choosing to join themselves with this “strange flesh”. This is why God destroyed them. Because as God said of all these nations that Israel was sent by God to destroy, their “iniquity was full”. They were no longer human and if allowed to continue to propagate they would have infected the whole of humanity. Leaving no man for God to save.
This is why Jesus said that when He returns the world will be as it was in the days of Noah and Lot. Because men will once again be joining themselves to the DNA of the fallen angels. They will once again be becoming other than humans. And as such their iniquity will be full like those in Noah’s day that died in the flood. And Jesus will return just before all flesh is destroyed to deliver those who chose to trust in Him. Who did not partake of the “strange flesh” of Jude7? Strange flesh that the new CRISPER DNA changing science is all about. It is satan’s method that we have seen throughout the history the Bible reveals of his attempt to stop God’s plan that was made from before the foundation of the world to deliver mankind from natural to spiritual, and from death to life. A plan accomplished by His becoming a man so He could join with a man in his death. So that by His resurrection He could conquer death so that we who believe in Him could join with Him in His eternal life. The ultimate deliverance from man’s oppressor, death, and satan.
So why did God make Adam natural and not spiritual from the beginning? This is why. Because by making him natural we who live in this dispensation, ones who Paul said were “upon whom the ends of the world are come” would see the deliverance of our God in man’s history. The deliverance that comes from His love for all mankind. The deliverance that has brought us to this time when men can be made the spiritual beings that God always intended for us to be. God showed us this by dealing with mankind in his natural being state so there would be all these examples for us to read and know God’s great love for us. His amazing grace defined by His love in action that brought Him as a man to join with a man in our death. So that by trusting in Him and His resurrection we could join with Him in His eternal life.
The Biblical record of His deliverance is your example to show you that you too can be born of His Spirit so you too can inherit eternal life. By choosing of your own free will to believe this gospel. The fleshly birth only prepared you for this natural world where death reigns. Will you too be born again by being born of His Spirit so that as His child you will now have for your inheritance His kingdom that is eternal where there is no death?
If you are reading this God is calling you. He loves you and wants you to know Him. Because knowing Him is this eternal life that provides you with the spirit that makes you God’s child.John17:3. Because while all men are created by God, not all men are born of His Spirit so that they are children of God. It is only those who have come to know Him that is spiritual because knowing Him is to be born of His Spirit. So if you do not know Him, but have now believed that He is Lord and that He has raised from the dead to conquer death for you, then please take the time right now to talk to Him and confess to Jesus that He is Lord of your life. And believe that He has raised from the dead to conquer death for you. If you do believe in Him then tell Him something like this and you will have eternal life:
Dear Jesus, I believe you. Thank you for joining with me in death so that by conquering death by your resurrection I could join with you in eternal life. Thank you that you raised from the dead so that I could raise from the dead too by trusting in, clinging to, and relying solely on you. Thank you for giving me a new spirit now Lord so that I can live with you in your kingdom forever. In Jesus’ name, amen.
By praying a prayer similar to this one and really meaning it from your heart you have been saved from death to life. From sin to righteousness. And from the wrath to peace with God. And now as you begin reading the Bible and believing what it plainly says it will begin to change the way you think and believe. Because when you trust in Jesus you leave the old life behind where you were only able to relate to and trust in what has been made. And now will be equipped for God’s kingdom because you are no longer only natural flesh and blood, but are a new creature made a spiritual being ready to inherit God’s spiritual kingdom. It is because of Jesus’ resurrection that He is the only WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. Because only Jesus has broken through the wall of death that the flesh and blood natural body can never get through. And only by the new birth are we made ready to receive the spiritual body that can go through the wall of death as Jesus’ did first so we could follow Him in the way He has prepared for us.
God Bless you in your new life in Christ.
My job is protecting children. It has taken me from big cities to rural outposts, from ghettos to penthouses, and from courtrooms, into demonic battlefields. But whatever the venue, the truth remains constant: Some humans intentionally hurt children. They commit unspeakable acts—for their pleasure, their profit, or both.
