The Illusion Cast Over Western Civilization

Society is at the mercy of their apps on their phones, and it goes deeper than you may think. The algorithms created by backend software engineers are practically intoxicating. In order to protect your attention span and cognitive thinking, one must distance themselves from “the next best social media platform” because it’s simply more addictive.

Applications like TikTok (The Chinese app that President Trump tried to ban stateside), are created to lessen the attention span of the masses. This is achieved by making videos extremely short. What ever content you decide to watch more of, the algorithm begins to force feed you videos pertaining to your personal interests. The moment you see something you don’t want to watch, you can simply swipe down to a completely different video. While this sounds like a grand old time, there is sufficient evidence to state that this algorithm is practically psychological warfare.

Not to mention the fact that often times political views clash on the application. And often times it is not a disagreement based on moral or ethical values, but outright slander and name calling. A secularized America beyond imagination is on its way. Slowly but surely software will creep into the depths of our lives, and equip humanity with the power to tarnish their own souls. If you don’t believe me, ask yourself why most would pull out a phone to record an altercation instead of breaking it up.

When users sign up, the app gathers “metadata” such as birthdate, interests and location, then tracks behavior such as likes, comments, how long you watched the video to figure out what kinds of videos get your attention. While this sounds pretty black and white, all it is doing is force feeding secular people secularism. A recent study found that the average human attention span has fallen from 12 seconds in 2000 to eight seconds today. This study didn’t explicitly say the decline in attention span is attributed to users sifting through thousands of short videos over and over. It is voluntary sensory overload for hours a day.

The good news is this, my God can be found no matter where you direct your attention. At all times i am watching what i’m consuming as to not neglect the mind God gave me. What a convenient trick the enemy has played on the masses. Idle hands are the devils playground, and these kids wont get off of the app. Concerns for user privacy subsided over time allowing TikTok to stay. Now that there is no political concern for the well being of the people in regard to TikTok, it is up to each and every individual to keep their minds fixated on the Lord.

There is also a hidden threat of inevitable clashing between ideologies that are supported by your media feeds. If you’re right leaning, you’ll see right leaning videos. The constant reinforcement of your beliefs makes you naive to alternate possibilities. This is why the waters are so muddy, there isn’t a single Biden supporter under the sun that is receiving the valid info needed to guide them to the right political decision.

Revalation 20:10 says this, And the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulfur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever. Is it not obvious yet? Your enemies are the same people facilitating the curriculum in our education systems, the same people producing the algorithms on the back end of your social media applications. If you want to come to grips with the world around you, you must be inquisitive by nature. The mind of a Christian must be distilled as we approach this new time in society.
