“Watchman See Evil” Drag Queen Competition at a Baptist Church Event: “Watchman” Deuteronomy 22:5 forbids men from dressing as women, but it’s okay because they’re attending a Baptist church, right?
Understand that queering is evil and is done on purpose to blur the borders between right and wrong, natural and unnatural, male and female, objective reality and subjective experience, and beyond. It is intended to increase people’s emotional acceptance of LGBTQ+ people. It is a spiritual attack manifested in the flesh, complete with makeup, heels, and wigs. Christians are fully justified in their opposition.

One drag queen, “Kitty Demure,” chastised ignorant and naive parents for sponsoring Drag Queen Story Hour events:

Would you want your child to be influenced by a stripper or a pornstar? It makes absolutely no sense. A drag queen performs in an adults-only nightclub. There is a lot of dirt going on. There is a lot of sexual activity. And there’s a lot of nudity, sex, and drugs going on backstage. Okay? So I don’t think this is a path you’d want your child to go.

This reply reveals the darkness beneath it all-the profound personal brokenness that drives the need to perform and parade around in this manner. It is deserving of pity and prayer. Please pray for repentance! Please pray for revival! Pray that the Lord will be kind and demonstrate His power to save to the utmost! Nonetheless, there are souls at risk. The honor of Christ is at stake. These problems must be opposed with zeal and courage.

Many Christians, however, have been ashamed to speak out, and there are those evangelical leaders who, even today, with the decadence in front of them, argue that Christians simply ought to remain quiet, keep their peace, and love their neighbors. This false conflict between loving our neighbors and standing for righteousness must be eliminated. Whatever is ultimately real is ultimately good, and wanting to protect our neighbors from the avalanche of sexual confusion and debauchery is a very loving-and righteous-response. Many Christians must repent for rejecting the truth through dozens of minor adjustments and nuances.

Whether it be drag performances in a church, bookshop, public school, or civic event, the Lord will not be mocked, even as femininity is mocked by these entertainers. God’s wrath is on its way. And woe to the churches that call wickedness good, and parade it as righteousness in front of a lost and dying world. “Ms. Penny Cost” exemplifies why many United Methodist Churches and clergy are opting to leave the fast declining mainline denomination. We will soon see what occurs when the biblical witness is entirely gone, free from the restriction that the virtuous men and women of that denomination have brought thus far.

The American church in 2022 would do well to remember the apostle Jude’s fuller statement:

But keep in mind, darling, the prophesies of our Lord Jesus Christ’s apostles. Their words to you were: “In the last time there will be scoffers, following their own ungodly passions.” These are the ones who sow divisions, worldly people who lack the Spirit. But you, dear, keep yourselves in the love of God as you build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit, waiting for the kindness of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life. And have mercy on those who doubt; save others by rescuing them from the flames; and show mercy to others with terror, loathing even the garment tainted by flesh. (Jude 1:17-23)

May the church of Christ take a courageous stand against the godlessness of a culture bent on delivering God’s judgment. Lord Jesus, come swiftly.
