South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem stated Joe Biden is not controlling the White House, but someone else is, as she expressed concern over the border situation, which she described as “an extreme remaking of America.”

During an appearance on Fox News on February 4, when anchor Maria Bartiromo asked why Biden is handing free housing and health care to illegal immigrants, Ms. Noem answered, “He’s weak. The White House is now being controlled by someone. I do not believe it is Joe Biden. He’s never been so extreme. This is an extreme remake of America.”

“It is a socialist/communist program. I believe they have penetrated the Democratic Party to the point where it is no longer the Democrat Party of 20 years ago; it is now a socialist party that opposes a strong America,” she added.

Ms. Noem is one of more than a dozen Republican governors who have visited Texas to demonstrate their support for Gov. Greg Abbott’s struggle against the Biden administration over the flood of illegal immigrants crossing the border in Eagle Pass.

The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) estimates that 2.4 million persons unlawfully crossed the border in fiscal year 2023, up from 2.3 million the previous year. In comparison, between October 1, 2019, and September 30, 2020, when Barack Obama entered office, border patrol agents saw only 458,000 illegal aliens.

In the interview, South Dakota’s governor chastised the Biden administration for the border situation. “We see Joe undermining our country by allowing this invasion at the southern border, and it’s destabilizing our country,” she said in a statement.
