Watchman: The Game is Not Fun When the Rabbit Got the Gun, “Sanctuary” City, New York, Sued Private Bus Companies in Texas for $700 Million Over Dropping off Migrants. What Hypocrisy. Close The Border You Elitist Morons

By SRH,

What Hypocrisy These Elites Have Shown.

More than a dozen charter bus and transportation firms are being sued by New York City for their role in transporting migrants to the so-called "sanctuary," which claims to no longer want anything to do with them.

"New York City has and will always do our part to manage this humanitarian crisis, but we cannot bear the costs of reckless political ploys from the state of Texas alone," Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, stated on Thursday. "Today, we are taking legal action against 17 companies that have taken part in Texas Governor Abbott’s scheme to transport tens of thousands of migrants to New York City in an attempt to overwhelm our social services system."

The complaint claims that by not covering the cost of caring for migrants, the firms have broken New York state law. The city claims that this equates to $708 million in damages for the money that has already been spent on their care. According to a provision cited in the petition, anyone who brings in a "needy person" from outside the state with the intention of making them the state's problem must either assist or remove the person from the state.

"Governor Abbott clearly prioritizes politics over people as evidenced by his ongoing use of immigrants as political pawns, which is not just chaotic and callous. Adams, who has been at odds with the Texas governor over the transportation of illegal immigrants to the sanctuary city, stated that "today's lawsuit should serve as a warning to all those who break the law in this way."

Wednesday shows hundreds of migrants—mostly young men—forming a line around a block in Manhattan in search of safety.

In a statement to Fox5, Adams claimed that "we're getting close to anywhere from 2,500 to peaking at 4,000 a week."

He went on, mentioning the more than 161,000 migrants who have landed in the Big Apple since the spring of 2022, "We were not just saying we're out of room as a soundbite."

He declared, "Like, we're really out of room." "People are going to be eventually sleeping on the streets."

Additionally, Adams just announced an executive order requiring charter buses to drop off at a designated location and arrive between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., Monday through Friday, as well as to give at least 32 hours' notice before arriving in NYC, according to Fox News.

The Jersey Get Away...

However, it seems that busses are getting over this rule by dropping off migrants at rail stations in nearby New Jersey, from whence they can take a train straight into New York City. On Sunday, Secaucus Mayor Michael Gonnelli charged that the migrant busses were using a "loophole" to get around New York City's executive order.

When questioned on Thursday about the shift in tactics, Adams stated that he had spoken with the governors of Connecticut and New Jersey and that the city will keep up its enforcement of the executive order.

Adams is not feeling well, In Fact He's Nuts

"And we're going to continue to reach out to our colleagues in the region to say that everyone should put in place a similar EO to send a loud message that these bus operators and bus companies should not be participating in Governor Abbott's…fiasco of really trying to destabilize these cities," he said, before taking another dig at Abbott regarding the use of buses.

"He is merely engaging in dogmatic destabilization of these cities. And we have to rise to the occasion," he said.

Additionally speaking, Governor Kathy Huchul of New York stated that the bus companies have accountability "for their role in this ongoing crisis."

"They should bear the financial burden of providing shelter for those in need of public assistance if they are being paid to break the law by bringing them into our state, rather than simply shifting the cost to hardworking New Yorkers." I'm honored to back the mayor's legal action."

We owe our server source about $20,000. They were nice enough not to shut down the service, which let us keep our news website up. But we don't know how much longer they will keep going without getting paid for their work. We want to avoid paying those high server provider fees, so we need to raise about $6,000 to buy our own server and keep up with our website ourselves. Each month, we have an internet service fee of about $160 and an electric service fee of about $300. This is what HNewsWire needs going forward. God bless.
