HNewsWire-According to Israeli media, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett turned down Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's request for military help to the troubled eastern European country.
During a phone discussion with Bennett on Friday, Zelensky requested "help with military tools and weaponry," according to the Kan public broadcaster, which was translated by the Times of Israel.
According to the article, Israel reacted with "diplomatic civility," but finally declined to comply with the request.
Israel is a Russian and Ukrainian friend who has been wary of taking sides since Moscow's incursion. As a result, Jerusalem coordinates all military strikes against Iranian targets in Syria with Moscow, which has a large military presence in Syria and controls the airspace.

Bennett informed Putin during the phone chat, according to the Kan story, that a plane bound for Ukraine this week held only humanitarian supplies, not weaponry.
On Sunday evening, Bennett called a meeting of the security cabinet for a "detailed" review of "the ramifications of the situation for Israel."

Bennett declared at the conference on Sunday that Israel will deliver 100 tons of humanitarian supplies to Ukraine.
Since the invasion on Thursday, thousands of Israelis have fled Ukraine by land, and 2,500 more have requested permission to relocate to Israel, according to the foreign ministry.
