Watchman: Prophecy of Gog and Magog–Magog Includes Russia and Other Nations

BY SRH

The Bible says that the battle of Armageddon is going to happen at the end of the seven-year tribulation period. All the countries around the globe will come together in a bid to take down the Jews and the city of Jerusalem, which is the capital of Israel. The battle of Gog and Magog mentioned in Ezekiel 38-39 is set to take place during this period. Once the armies from around the globe have taken down half of Jerusalem, that’s when Christ makes His return (Zechariah 14:1-7). The return of Christ is often referred to as the second coming of Christ. Revelation 16:14-16 gives us a broad overview of these events.

The Word About Gog and Magog

In Ezekiel 38 and 39, the battle between Gog and Magog is talked about in great depth. The fight takes place at the end of the tribulation, as shown by a close study of Ezekiel 38–39 and Revelation 6–19. Neither before nor during the first half of the tribulation does the fight happen. not even after the thousand-year rule.

According to Daniel 11:36–45, the king of the north will attack Israel at the end of the Great Tribulation. This historical knowledge fits with what the Bible says. The ancient king of the north ruled over what is now called the Seleucid Empire. This area was part of Alexander the Great’s land that went into India and up into the land around the Caspian Sea. All of the people who came from that land went to the countries listed above. In short, Russia and the Arab countries will be the main ones attacking at the Battle of Armageddon.
