When it comes to the end times, the Bible has some baffling concepts. Mark 13:32 says, "But neither the angels in heaven nor the Son know what day or hour it will be; only the Father knows." That's why the angels in heaven don't know when the end will happen. It looks like no one but Jesus knows when He'll be back.

But in Matthew 24:5-8, Christ talks about the end of the world: "Many will come in my name and say, 'I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.'" And you'll hear about wars and possible wars. Don't worry, because this has to happen, but the end is still a ways off. Nation will rise up against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will also be storms and famines in many places. All of these are just the start of the labor pains.

We are told that we can't know when the end will occur, but there are clear signs that point to that fact. What does this mean?

One way these signs can be helpful is if we don't try to figure out when the end will happen through them. Instead, we should just see them as confident promises that Christ will come back and save the whole world. So, when we see these things happen, we can be filled with hope instead of fear as we get ready for the storm.

Take a look at these six Bible signs of the end times to help you understand what is really going on.

One country against another

In Matthew 24:7, Christ tells us that "nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom." This is one of the signs.

Since there has been war since the Fall of the Biblical Tree, we must assume that this means something much worse or more important than what we've seen so far. And thinking about what we've been through, like WWII, it's hard to picture something worse.

It's believed we're about to enter this dangerous age. However, world conflicts are rising again, and most countries now have the most powerful weapons ever made. This sign seems to be coming soon.

Think about North Korea's threats of nuclear reprisal. Think about how things are getting worse between Russia and the US. Think about all the wars that happen in the Middle East. Not to mention that China, one of the world's giants, is becoming more and more hostile toward Christians andthe West.

We can't help but think about Christ's return with everything going on.

Misleading Prophets:

"For false Christs and false prophets will arise and do great signs and wonders so that they can lead astray, if likely, even the elect," Jesus says in Matthew 24:24.

These "false Christians" will look like the real deal. They'll teach like Christians, be charismatic, and get a lot of people to follow  them Obama/Biden Trump. People who follow these people will really think that they are doing God's work by doing so.

In fact, though, these false preachers are not at all from God. Their words will be slightly screwed up. They'll even do amazing things. This reminds me of a lot of bad faith leaders.

But there is a way to tell the difference between the truth and lies. In John 14:21, Christ says, "He who has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me." My Father will love anyone who loves me, and I will love him and show myself to him.

If we study Christ's life in depth, we can easily spot people who are not like Him. Learn as much as you can and get ready for the false preachers.

Loss of Morals

Here's what Paul says about a sign: "But understand this: in the last days there will be times of trouble." People will love themselves, love money, be proud, cocky, abusive, disobey their parents, be ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappealing, slanderous, angry, violent, not loving good, treacherous, careless, full of pride, (Homosexual) and love pleasure more than God.

People have always been all of these things, so we can only imagine that they will happen at a level that has never been seen before: more cruel, heartless, greedy, and proud than ever.

The shift from morals based on God to relativity is a sign of the postmodern era. People in our society are wary of anything that is called "truth," and this could be the first sign of that. Every person can make their own moral rules and ideas about what is true—moral relativism says that everything is up to the individual. This could lead to the extreme behaviors mentioned in this sign in the long run.

You should remember the fruits of the spirit, which are love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. You will escape the trap of moral decline that many people are doomed to fall into if you follow these rules.

What the Stars Say

Christ talks about the sky in Luke 21:25–26: "And there will be signs in the sun, the moon, and the stars. On the earth, distress of nations in confusion because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, people passing out with fear and foreboding of what is coming on the world." All the power in the sky will be shaken.

This one is interesting, and it shows up more than once in the Gospels. Some of the other lines talk about the sky "roaring" and the seas having some kind of trouble.

This sign will not be missed, that much is certain.

This sign might just be talking about weapons made by people, like rockets and bombs that fall from the sky, defenses based on satellites that can shoot down entire planets, and whatever else people's minds can come up with in the next few years.

On the other hand, this could be the great sign that Christ is coming back, as we see in Matthew 24:29–32.

No matter what, you will know that Christ is close when the sky gets dark, the stars go away, and the moon turns red as blood.

An important test

Some people don't agree with the Great Tribulation sign. Some people read the surrounding Bible verses to mean that Christians will be taken to heaven and not have to go through this hard time. Some people think they won't be taken up until after.

Now, Christ says, "For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever shall." This terrible time will begin with the work of the Antichrist and end when the real Christ comes back.

The Book of Revelation tells us a few things about this time: God's wrath will be on the earth, the Beast will be shown, and there will be plagues and pain all over the earth.

It's possible that this trouble is the result of all the other signs put together. A world torn apart by war, cruelty, natural disasters, and changes in the sky would definitely be a "tribulation." Keep your eyes open for it and make sure your heart is ready for the coming of Christ, no matter what you think about this troubled time.

Earthquakes in a lot of places

In Bible predictions, earthquakes are very important. Christ says in Matthew 24:6-7 that when His return is near, "there will be famines and earthquakes in many places."

Keep an eye on the "various places." It's not enough to just look at every earthquake and think the end is near. This sign is something different, something bigger.

Like many of the other signs, this will be something we're used to seeing but much stronger. These won't be normal earthquakes; they'll be ones that shake the earth's roots in many places at once.

The Book of Revelation talks about these earthquakes five times. The last one happens at the same time that the seventh bowl of God's anger falls on the earth. "A great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth," it is said. The big city was now split into three parts, and towns from all over the world fell.

This is another sign that will be hard to miss, but be sure you understand it properly. As Christ Himself says, these signs are just the "birth pains" of His return. There is hope for a better world, even though things are scary right now.

Get ready; don't give up.

He tells us how important signs are by saying, "Learn from the fig tree: when its branch gets soft and puts out its leaves, you know that summer is almost here."
