HNewsWire-More than 3,500 sex trafficking cases were reported to the National Human Trafficking Resource Center last year alone.

Americans care a lot about money.

We talk about jobs and taxes and paychecks, but here’s what we don’t talk about: right here, in the United States, there is a thriving underground economy based on selling children for sex.

If sex sells, then business is good. It was almost a billion dollars, according to an Urban Institute 2014 study. But these dirty profits come at a huge cost.

Under federal law, anyone under 18 years of age-induced into commercial sex is a victim of sex trafficking — regardless of whether the trafficker uses force, fraud, or coercion. Sacharay’s exploiter eventually brought her and another teen to Atlanta, because he could command higher prices.

According to a 2014 study by the Urban Institute, some traffickers in Atlanta make more than $32,000 a week.

The study also cited research findings from 2007 that Atlanta’s illegal sex industry generates around $290 million a year.

“It’s a big city. There’s a lot to do in Atlanta. A lot of conventions, a lot of hotels, a lot of parties going on, a lot of events,” said Sgt. Torrey Kennedy with the DeKalb County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Unit. “So just like any businessmen, these traffickers know that.”A big part of Atlanta’s draw is the airport, which is the busiest in the world.

The man could get on that computer, anonymously, say, ‘I’m coming in to go have sex with this child.’ He’ll fly in on a 3:00 flight, meet the child at 6:00, and be gone on the 8:00,” said Dalia Racine, assistant district attorney for DeKalb County, which includes part of Atlanta. “How are we to ever find them? How are we to ever know who they are?”

DeKalb County’s ICAC and Vice Unit conducted an operation to find underage victims. The team went exit by exit along I-285, the perimeter highway, to hotels where undercover agents had arranged “dates” through an Internet escort site. In several of those meetings, the escort who showed up turned out to be underage.

This is how sex traffickers do business. It’s all about supply and demand.

First, they need someone to sell. Traffickers target young people in their own homes, by combing through social media profiles, looking to spark a conversation. The trafficker targets pre-teens and teens by finding something to bond over and earn their trust.

It could be the promise of a modeling career. The trafficker might buy them drugs or alcohol or provide protection from an already dangerous situation at home.

Traffickers gain psychological control and use violent threats to force victims to stay. Once the child is isolated from family and friends, the trafficker puts them up for sale. This is where the demand comes in.

Traffickers use internet sites to connect with buyers or “johns.” But calling them johns is too polite. They are abusers. They are purchasing kids for sex.

So who are these buyers?

Court records show they’ve been teachers, pastors, cops and judges. They could be the guy next door. The trafficker gets the money. The buyer gets sex. The child victim gets exploited and sold. So how is this different from prostitution, pornography or other sexual acts? These victims are minors. Legally, they cannot consent.

This isn’t the movies. It’s not like “Pretty Woman” or “Taken.” Richard Gere is not the buyer. Liam Neeson isn’t there to save the day.

This is sexual exploitation.

This is trafficking.

This is modern day slavery.

It’s selling young girls and boy’s

“Have I, therefore, become your enemy by telling you the truth?”
If the greatest warrior of all times, King David was sent back to earth by God Almighty, the Pharisees and Sadducees the hypocrites would be in a frenzy, you see- great warriors like King David, Paul of biblical proportions would expose their ungodly doctoring. Those men would expose the treacherous path most of the world is on(inclusiveness) in other words sin must be accepted Or you’ll go to jail, those pastors in Canada(coming to America soon) are experiencing that following Christ can be by the world standards “dangerous”. Your job as warriors, shepherds of the flock is to speak out, expose ungodly behavior, oppose Injustice for the poor, the weak, Orphans and widows, the battle cry is “justice justice”. But for those Saints, salt of the earth Christians we know our life on earth is temporary, heaven is our eternal home, what’s in your heart, applause from the world which is temporary, Christ outstretched arms which is eternal?
