Augustine of Hippo; pillar of the Christian Faith? Or Just another Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing?- Heb.2:14

By Edward O’Hara, This man is credited, and rightly so, with the introduction for the Roman Catholic Church to her belief in the doctrine of original sin and sin nature. Also known as “necessity” in Augustine’s writings. Which is actually the introduction of Gnosticism into the that religion. And what was as many who recognized it as such at the time stated outright, a massive departure, a great falling away if you will, from the Biblical doctrine of salvation delivered to us through the apostles. But, and this is where our focus will be today, on top of this he was a man captive to the practice, or lifestyle, of fornicating with harlots. Which is what prompted him in the first place to look for an excuse for this seemingly uncontrollable bad behavior that he had come to believe was…

THE BELIEVER’S GUIDE FOR SHARING GOD’S LOVE WITH THE WORLD

Edward O’Hara In witnessing to the unbelieving world we can come to know how to read the Bible for all it’s worth. And how to take what we read and apply it to our witness when we are trying to help someone understand their need for Jesus. And how that when we do all of this we learn that it is not about bringing them under the condemnation of the devil by telling them that they are guilty before God for anything they or someone else may have done. Because Paul taught that it is the goodness of God, not severity, that leads a man to repentance. To do this, 1st We need to understand that it is because Adam was natural, not spiritual when God made him that creates our need for Jesus.  “And so it is written, The first man Adam…

WOLVES IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING; ANOTHER QUESTION, NAUGHTY VS NICE? OR NATURAL VS SPIRITUAL?- Gen.2:7

By Edward  O’Hara In this message I am going to give one more example of the many questions I asked of the scriptures that led me to the truth about why we need Jesus and what the atonement was really for. It’s so important that we know it’s ok to ask questions. Whether it be of the overseer or bishop. Of Jesus. Or of anyone regarding the things of God. These questions will help us make informed decisions about the truths we are learning. After which we will look at the main progenitor of the false doctrine of original sin that all churches teach. And why even according to his own disciple’s interpretation of the scriptures he could not even have been a believer. As I continued seeking the Lord about the things that just didn’t add up Biblically between…

IN GOD’S IMAGE AND LIKENESS. A TERM MEANT FOR ALL MEN? OR JUST ADAM? Gen.5:1,2

By Edward O’Hara ,In this message we will look at why some who claim to be teaching the Bible say only Adam was made in God’s image and likeness. And that the rest of mankind were made in Adam’s image and likeness. And why they say there is a difference. And if they Bible agrees with them. Some think that Adam was made in God’s image. While Gen.5:1,2 saying the rest of mankind being made in Adam’s image means they are not made in God’s image. So let’s work through this from a Biblical, rather than a Augustinian, which in all reality is a gnostic, perspective. Because the gnostic perspective denies that Jesus came in the same flesh all men have. And by doing so have aligned their understanding about the incarnation of the man Jesus with the gnostics of…

EDWARD O’HARA, THE GARDEN Pt2

As we saw in pt1 of this message the mortality that Adam was not yet aware of would only be realized by him after he could no longer eat from the tree of life. We see this from reading in Gen.3:22 where God said, “Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever: 23 Therefore the Lord God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.” This truth…

PERILOUS TIMES! WHEN THEY DENY THE POWER OF GOD–2Tim.3:1-5

Free from sin Is that even possible? Is there any scriptural basis for freedom from sin? Especially right now? While we are in these bodies? And what if we reject this? Does the scripture describe such a person? I contend that it does. And when it does it makes it abundantly clear that it is what causes the perilous times that Paul prophesied were to come when men become “lovers of selves more than lovers of God”. Here’s what Paul said about this in 2Tim.3, “This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, truce-breakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, high minded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of…

EDWARD O’HARA: ONLY THE SINCERE MILK OF THE WORD GROWS STRONG BELIEVERS…

Edward O’Hara That’s what our Bible tells us in 1Peter2:2,3. “Desire the sincere milk of the word that ye may grow thereby. If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious”. Think about this for a moment. This means that the believer’s initial and subsequent growth must begin with and have as it’s foundation the sincere milk of the word. This shows how very important it is that we hear the truth about salvation and all that is linked to it right from the start to insure that the growth we experience in all the areas the scriptures teach us about is based on solid Biblical truth. A solid foundation. And not on man’s wisdom. And only then will we be prepared to partake of the meat that gives us the ability to discern between good and evil as Heb.5:14 says. …

“THE LAW IS SPIRITUAL;” WILL YOU REMAIN “CARNAL, IN BONDAGE TO SIN”? Rom.7:14

By Edward  O’Hara, As we continue to learn what Paul was teaching in Rom.7, we will continue our focus on what Paul meant when he wrote, “14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. 15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.” To understand this passage correctly is to recognize first and foremost the context in which it is written. This is discovered by reading what was said before that led up to this. We see this when Paul says “For” at the beginning of each of these statements. For meaning because, it then behooves us to understand what has been said before this. Because this is what relates what is said in these verses to…

ORIGINAL SIN ATONEMENT AND MOLECH ATONEMENT- WHY THEY ARE ONE AND THE SAME

And why everyone who calls themselves a christian should be very concerned about this. A Biblical look at Molech worship requires reading 1 and 2Kings, Amos5, Jeremiah32, and Leviticus18 and 20. As well as the reference we find in Acts7. When we see what this worship entails, and then look at what church people teach and believe the atonement accomplished, we can then see the similarities between it and the worship the church has taken on since Augustine brought his original sin and sin nature doctrine to the rcc.   To see the similarities between Molech worship and worship church’s do, all we need to do is ask why they did it. What was it’s true purpose? Well, to begin with they believed that Moloch would get angry at them for their bad behavior. So to insure that they did…

NOW TO HIM WHO IS OF POWER TO STABLISH YOU ACCORDING TO MY GOSPEL

And the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world bega”-Rom.16:25 In these chapters ending Paul’s letter to his believing Jewish brethren at Rome, Paul continues exhorting his Jewish brethren that they need to be gracious to their less mature Jewish brethren concerning meats and esteeming some days above others. As he has explained to them that some eat and keep the days as unto the Lord. So that they stand or fall by Him. Then he begins to explain to them why he has been so long in coming to preach to them. Saying that it was because he was sent first by God to preach the message of the grace of God to the Gentiles(other nations). And he makes sure they understand why it had to be this…
