David J. Kramer, best known for his promotion of the fake Trump-Russia dossier, is the executive director of George W. Bush's presidential library and is working with the former president on the democracy and misinformation conference. Kramer sent the forgery supporting the Russia Collusion coup to the FBI and a group of liberal media.

The issues of polarization, global warming, capitalism, and fake news will be at the forefront of Obama's speech.

Following what Donald Trump has hinted will be a significant announcement, both George W. Bush and Barack Obama will host democratic conferences in consecutive days.

Some Republicans have been trying to persuade Trump to delay making his 2024 campaign announcement, and Trump's advisor Jason Miller has indicated that this will be the former president's "major" announcement. Miller reportedly told Trump to hold off on endorsing a candidate until after the runoff election in Georgia between Democrat Sen. Raphael Warnock and Republican Herschel Walker.

Bush and Obama's conferences, which Axios reports would both focus on "highlighting emerging challenges from authoritarianism and disinformation — and how to battle them abroad and at home," are said to have been planned independently.

Both Bush and Obama will have their respective conferences on the following days, with Bush's happening in Dallas on November 16 and Obama's in New York on November 17. At Bush's meeting, the Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky, will be interviewed by the president.
