“I’m going to be taking a vacation with my family, so I’m not going to be here tomorrow,” Watters said during his show, according to reports. “I’ll be back on Monday, so don’t miss me too much.”

“It’s funny. The left says they really respect women and then when given an opportunity to respect a woman like that they boo and hiss … so I don’t really get what’s going on here, but I really liked how she was speaking into that microphone,” Watters said.

Watters gestured with his hand toward his mouth as he made the remark and then grinned at his co-hosts.

The next morning, Watters said his comment was not meant to be sexual innuendo.

His abrupt departure comes just three days into the new prime-time slot for his show. CNN’s Brian Stelter noted that Watters will miss two days of his first week in prime time, as well as his weekend show.

Live television is a treasure for showing us just how awful some of these talking head pundits really are. The comment came after The Five watched a clip of a speech by Ivanka at an economic summit in Berlin where the left wing press has been gleefully reported that he is being booed by the audiences.

Host Kimberly Guilfoyle introduced the conversation by telling the panel that she had drawn “hisses and jeers” from the crowd when she described her father’s commitment to “women, and children, and families.”

Jesse Watters spoke next with a breathtakingly stupid series of thoughts (emphasis mine):

I always thought the Europeans were supposed to be so sophisticated and well-mannered and now they’re treating her like this, like it’s a soccer match.

I don’t understand what’s going on. I think Ivanka is supposed to be the moderating voice for her father so I think people in Europe should support that.

I don’t know why, also, saying her father respects families is controversial.

He’s probably hired a ton of fathers, mothers and children so I really don’t get what’s going on here **but I really liked how she was speaking in to that microphone**.”
