As this wave of young Americas continues to grow, their influence in society becomes greater. Abortion, pornography, divorce, drug abuse, and youth violence are only the symptoms of a deeper problem facing America. As important as it is to deal with these symptoms, it is essential that the Christian community begin to deal with the “root cause” of the moral and social woes facing our nation. If we do not, our land will see moral and spiritual anarchy and we will crumble under the judgment of God.
The “root cause” of what is producing such sin and rebellion is this: We as a nation and a church have rejected God’s Word as the only standard and foundation upon which all our public policies, institutions, laws, and code of behavior are built. We are living in a time similar to that of the Book of Judges where the Scriptures say “… But every man did what which was right in his own eyes.” – Judges 21:25
