In it Paul says that the great falling away is caused by a strong delusion that comes upon those who were in the church. TO BE SPIRITUALLY MINDED IS LIFE AND PEACE… The natural man of 1Cor.2:14 is the “old man” of Rom.6:6 and the carnal mind of Rom.8:6,7. He is natural and carnal because he relates only with the physical senses God gave Adam when He made him. He can not think spiritually because he is only natural and carnal. The fact that he is only natural and carnal does not mean he is bad. Because when God made Adam and the rest of creation He said it was “very good”. The creation including mankind was exactly as God wanted it to be. Natural, not spiritual as Paul said in 1Cor.15:45-48. I mean, it still works no matter who does them, right? And what is it about salvation by works anyway that is so ingrained in so many people that they just can’t see works not being involved in some way in salvation? Why is it so easy for people to be deceived into salvation by works mentality? It is because most people are taught from day one that if they want something in this life they will need to work for it.
