THE DOCTRINE OF ORIGINAL SIN- VERY BAD THEOLOGY. IN FACT, IT’S SATANIC

The doctrine of original sin is the foundation Jesus described in Mt.7:26,27 Jesus said we must build our house on the rock. For a house built on sand will fall when the storm beats against it. The doctrine of original sin is such a foundation.

Inherent sin through Adam's original sin is a common belief among those who call themselves christian. It is orthodoxy to most, so much so that if one rejects this doctrine they are considered by those who believe in it to be outside of Biblical faith. Lost and on their way to hell. A heretic.

The belief in this false doctrine that is so popular among many who claim to be christian lends to many false doctrines that brings those who believe it to come to the unenviable end of being so far from anything even remotely Biblical that their claim of being christian becomes a farce. In this message we will look at some of their most glaringly unBiblical beliefs. And how we can avoid building our faith house upon it.

What is it that convinces them this is true? Certainly since they claim to be Christians there must be scripture that shows that Adam's original sin was passed in to his progeny by inheritance, right? They claim that this is what Rom.5:12 means when it says "Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin". But, is this what this verse means? Do we really see Adam's sin passed to all men in this verse?

To see if it is lets look at each part of the verse. In the first part of this verse we see Paul saying that by Adam's sin sin came into the world. Does this say that Adam's sin passed into all men by inheritance? Clearly it does not. Because what it says speaking only of Adam and Eve is that their sin came into the world, not into all men. And that this was because THEY sinned. So the first part of the verse says that sin was now in the world. Not in all men.

The next part of this verse says "and death by sin". And since Paul says this sin came into the world and not into all men, when death came it was to Adam and Eve only. So for Adam and Eve it was sin first, then death.

And when we look at the Genesis account we see in Gen.3:22 how Paul understood this to have happened. Here God says that man would only be able to live forever if he was able to continue to eat from the tree of life. And that this is why God sent them from the garden and blocked the way to the tree of life.

This also shows us that the death that came to Adam and Eve because of sin was brought to pass, not because the fruit had something in it that killed them. Nor was it their disobedience to God's instructions not to eat the fruit that killed them. But, what caused them to come to realize their mortality was that now that they could no longer eat from the tree of life they began to realize the effects of death. Something they had never experienced before. So this is when death came to them. And not at the moment when they ate the fruit.

The next part of this verse says "and so death passed to all men". And by looking at Gen.3:22 again we see the reason for this. So that in this part of the verse Paul shows us that for the rest of mankind it was death first, then sin, by the fact that after death came to Adam and Eve it came also to all their offspring.

So it is not that they inherited Adam's sin that they die. It is because the way to the tree of life was blocked. This is why all men did not have to sin personally or inherit sin from Adam to be under death's reign. But, only that all men have no access to the tree of life. Because eating from the tree of life is what kept Adam and Eve from realizing their own mortality.

One thing we need to clear up here right now is the reason that God said access to the tree of life was denied. That it was not because Adam disobeyed him. But, because Adam had "become as one of us to know good and evil".

This is crucial to our understanding of the true purpose of the atonement. This shows us that the death that came to Adam, and then also to his progeny, was not a punishment for Adam's sin by inheritance. But, is what becoming more like God knowing good and evil led to.

Another reason these false brethren give as proof that the doctrine of original sin is true comes from their misunderstanding of what David wrote in Ps.51. When he wrote "Behold, I was sharpen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me." The problem is that contextually there are only 2 ways this can be taken. And neither of these have anything to do with the doctrine of original sin as these false brethren claim.

1 way this verse may be interpreted is that David was saying his parents were not married when David's mother became pregnant with him. And that this is why he said, "in sin did my mother conceive me." But, because David is clearly referring to his own personal sins this can not be the meaning he intended to convey.

The other way, and I believe the correct way, this can be understood is that because he was referring to his own personal sins, which he remarks about later in the chapter saying, "Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness", it must refer to whatever his "blood-guiltiness" was.

The "blood-guiltiness" David refers to is the death of Uriah that came by his command. A death that happened as a result of David's need to cover up his sin with Uriah's wife Bathsheba that culminated in her becoming pregnant. You can read about these events in 2Samuel11.

So of these 2 options David's obvious reference is to the latter. And so not only is it not a reference to David's parent's sin. But, this passage also has nothing to do with inheritance of Adam's original sin. And the only reason anyone would say it is is that without forcing it into the passage there is no support for their doctrine of original sin. Finding that they must do so because there are no direct references to the doctrine of original sin anywhere in the Bible.

There is another favorite for those who prescribe to Augustine's original sin doctrine. It is found in Rom.7 where Paul refers to the man that wants to do good but can't. Saying that he has discovered that this happens because "it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me."

To those who have been deceived by Augustine's false doctrine of original sin this means that Paul had sin dwelling in him by inheritance from Adam. And is proof for their doctrine. But, a simple reading of this statement in context renders this view impossible.

The context of Rom.7 is first seen in Rom.6:23. Here Paul said, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Here Paul shows us the effects of sin under the law vs the gift of God under grace. Which Rom.7:1 shows us is made so that "those who know the law" that he says he is speaking will begin to relate to God through faith in Jesus' gift. Rather than continuing to do so through the wages of sinless law keeping. Which is death.

With this foundation we can easily see what Paul was referring to when he wrote "it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me." That it was the Jew's relationship to the works of the law. And how while under the law he had mistakenly come to believe his righteousness came from it's keeping.

But, as we see Paul saying in Phil.3:6-9 the righteousness that comes through the keeping of the law is a righteousness of works. A righteousness that Paul describes there that is "dung" and "loss" compared to knowing Jesus. Because only this kind of righteousness, a righteousness that is by faith and not of works, can give eternal life.

So it is this battle that had the Jew relating to the law that had been ingrained in him since day 1 that was the "sin that dwells in me" Paul was speaking of.

Because the law becomes just another idol when it is held in the place of Jesus. And it is this idol that causes the Jew and those who believe the doctrine of original sin to struggle between the wages of sin and the gift of God that is eternal life. Between a belief in works for righteousness rather than the righteousness for eternal life that only comes by faith without works as Paul said in Eph.2:8,9.

These are a few of the problematic scriptures for those who have been deceived by Augustine's doctrine of original sin. Believing that these are proofs for this doctrine by reading that false teaching into the scriptures. Rather than simply letting the scriptures mean what they say.

Not to mention the destructive nature of the doctrine of original sin when it comes to the fact that God is love. And the fact that free will is absolutely necessary because God is love. And the fact that when all men are born they are the same in every way as Adam was when he was made.

This is why there is no proof for the doctrine of original sin. And is why it must be rejected outright by all who will believe in Jesus for eternal life. If it is not rejected it will create for you a perversion of the atonement. It will change God from being love to a god of hate. And makes Jesus' sacrifice an offering meant to appease God's hate toward us.

So that instead of bringing a person to love God in return by a choice of their own free will as He planned from the beginning. It instead will lead us to reject free will to cling to "necessity" or sin nature as taught by Augustine and the Roman Catholic religion for which he is the doctor of theology.

Continually begging God to forgive us for naughty behavior, or striving continually to do good works, that is in actuality of no consequence for entering the kingdom of God.

Because it isn't that men are bad that Jesus came. It is because men are "not spiritual, but natural"(1Cor.15:45-50) that Jesus had to come. Salvation has nothing to do with the bad works people might do. 2Cor.5:19 tells us that "God was in Christ not imputing trespasses" to men.

Any condemnation a person may feel for being bad comes from satan. He is the accuser of the brethren. He is the destroyer of men.

This explains why so many feel so much relief from guilt when they come to trust in Jesus. Satan uses this to deceive men into believing this is the reason Jesus came. So that they will become as Roman Catholics and her daughters the evangelicals and protestants who are "ever learning but never come to the knowledge of the truth."

Because they get stuck on performance

rather than knowing Jesus

that is eternal life. John17:3.

So any relief from guilt you may have felt when you said you believed in God's forgiveness, no matter how good it felt to have such relief, was a trick of the devil. Because God never held you accountable for any bad behavior you may have done. The devil only tricked you into believing He does so that you would think God's love is that He isn't mad at you anymore. Satan knows that if he can deceive you this way that you will never be able to really know God or His love.

This is what John was speaking about when he said, "For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil." And what Jesus meant when He said, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." And is why when faced with the woman caught in the act of adultery Jesus said, "neither do I condemn you. Now go and sin no more."

So the doctrine of original sin is a trick of the devil to make you believe the guilt you felt came from God because He condemns you for being bad. To make you believe this is who God really is and what the atonement was really for. When because God is love and has always loved you nothing could be further from the truth. Which is why Rom.8:1 says that in Christ Jesus there is no condemnation.

But, satan not only used it for condemnation. He also used it to get you to deny the doctrine of Christ. So that you would come to faith in a false Jesus who did not come in the same flesh all men have because he made you believe the flesh is evil because of the sin that you inherited from Adam. But, in 1John4:1-3 John said this is a doctrine that comes from the spirit of antichrist.

The doctrine of original sin and sin nature is the biggest lie satan has ever foisted upon mankind since the days of Jesus. It is the strong delusion that Paul said would come in 2Thes.2. A delusion that damns to hell all those who are deceived by it. Because if you are deceived by it you can never come to love the truth.

To be free from this deception repent by turning from it to accept and know God's love and deliverance from the condemnation of the devil. As well as His deliverance from death to life. From mortality to immortality. From natural to spiritual. By being born again. Having a spirit birthed in you by the Holy Spirit. A spirit that never existed before that makes you a child of God and heir to His kingdom.

If you do believe in Jesus then confess that Jesus is YOUR Lord. And believe in YOUR heart that God has raised Him from the dead. Do this and you will have eternal life. Do this and you will be a child of the living God and heir to His kingdom.
