LA Introduces A Taxpayer Funded $1000 A Month Lottery. But You Must Be LGBTQIA To Participate.

They target your emotions to keep you engaged on their site so their advertisers can drop more ads. These platforms exist to enrich their stockholders. Measure H, a historic quarter-percentage-point increase in the county’s sales tax to combat homelessness, was overwhelmingly approved by voters in 2017. It failed miserably. The situation with regard to homelessness has deteriorated significantly. It’s easy to see why when you hear what the City of West Hollywood is doing with their portion of the funding.

The city is picking 25 residents to earn $1,000 each month through a lottery. It’s known as the Guaranteed Income West Hollywood Pilot. You do not, however, have to be homeless to participate in the lottery. You don’t even have to be a citizen of the United States to participate. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, “queer,” “intersex,” or “asexual,” called “LGBTQIA,” is what you must be. Straight people are not permitted to apply, regardless matter whether they are homeless or impoverished.

The program’s goals, according to the city, are to “determine the effectiveness of guaranteed income on participants’ economic security, housing stability, physical health, and mental health,” as well as “contribute data to the Center for Guaranteed Income Research (CGIR) and the Mayors for a Guaranteed Income (MGI) to help determine the collective impact of guaranteed income on LGBTQIA populations.”

The MGI is a group of mayors who are “interested in figuring out how cash—with no strings attached—can help low-income families.”

Surprisingly, in the midst of the largest homeless crisis in recent memory, the city is diverting monies intended to alleviate it to a social experiment in which LGBTQIA people are treated like lab rats.

Other than that, you must be at least 50 years old and earn less than $41,400 per year as an individual or $63,850 per year for a family of five to be eligible for the lottery. Another government initiative that encourages people to work less or not at all.

It is on top of a slew of other state and federal assistance programs, including CalWORKs (advice for parents with children), Cal Fresh (food stamps), WIC (women, babies, and children) benefits, MediCal, and the federal earned income tax credit and Medicare. There are no constraints on how the funds can be spent, unlike other California programs. Recipients are free to use money given to them by others to maintain their alcohol, cigarette, or drug addictions.

Los Angeles just launched its own basic income program, with the goal of “transforming the role of local government.” Its funding source is equally concerning. The money was utilized to fund the city’s social experiment, which included defunding the police force. It also ran a $1,000-per-month lottery with 3,000 lucky winners.

Both programs are highly debatable in terms of their legality. The schemes seize people’s money through required taxes and redistribute it to others at random, depending on a lottery rather than need. The West Hollywood program, on the other hand, is truly one-of-a-kind in terms of its outright prejudice.

The California Supreme Court has found that “statutes providing disparate treatment on the basis of sexual orientation are subject to the strict scrutiny level of review,” as required by the state constitution’s equal protection clause. A strong government interest is required for this. What persuasive reason could the government have for caring more for citizens based on their sexual orientation or gender identity than their financial need?

The program does not conduct individualized assessments of each applicant’s situation. So long as the LGBTQIA box is checked, one may be a retired lawyer with millions of dollars in the bank and still qualify for the lotto.

Simply put, the scheme rewards people based on their sexual preferences and gender identity rather than their basic human needs. It’s the latest example of California politicians abandoning their basic responsibility to solve real issues facing their constituents, like as crime and homelessness, in order to pursue leftist utopian aspirations.

This is what it looks like in the belly of the beast (LA), we have to assume that thousands of Americans with the correct political preferences are stuck in this hell hole taking care of loved ones, or are too poverty stricken to make their way out of this place. The decision for California legislators to offer financial aid to citizens solely based on their sexual orientation is an inarguably discriminatory act & A blatant display of lack of oversight in the political sphere; Yet as we know, this is intentional.

The left seeks to dismantle the closely held beliefs of true freedom loving Americans. 1 Peter 4:12-14 says: “Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.” Stay inquisitive in the word of God, and the world around you.
