It’s only been a matter of hours after Russia essentially prohibited exports of fertilizers and only minutes ago Hungary, one of Europe’s most grain-rich countries, said that it would immediately halt grain exports in a statement.
It’s just a matter of time until wheat prices, already at record highs, quadruple from here as everyone recognizes how serious the global food crisis will be.

Because of the Ukraine war, these countries might face a “Arab Spring”-style food crisis in the next several weeks, which could lead to a possible insurrection.
Because Russia’s Interfax news agency just reported that as a part of Moscow’s countersanctions, Russia has recommended that fertilizer makers stop exporting, a move which will send not only fertilizer prices orbiting higher, but all food prices will soon follow, we can now confidently predict the coming food crisis.
