A prophet is a person who speaks God’s truth to others. The English word prophet comes from the Greek word prophetes, which can mean “one who speaks forth” or “advocate.” Prophets are also called “seers,” because of their spiritual insight or their ability to “see” the future.
In the Bible, prophets often had both a teaching and revelatory role, declaring God’s truth on contemporary issues while also revealing details about the future. Isaiah’s ministry, for example, touched on both the present and the future. He preached boldly against the corruption of his day (Isaiah 1:4) and delivered grand visions of the future of Israel (Isaiah 25:8).
Prophets had the task of faithfully speaking God’s Word to the people. They were instrumental in guiding the nation of Israel and establishing the church. God’s household is “built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone” (Ephesians 2:20).
More than 133 named prophets are mentioned in the Bible, including 16 women. In addition, numerous other prophesied, such as the 70 elders of Israel (Numbers 11:25) and the 100 prophets rescued by Obadiah (1 Kings 18:4). The first named prophet in the Bible is Abraham. In Genesis 20:7 God spoke to Abimelech in a dream, saying, “Now then, return [Abraham’s] wife, for he is a prophet, so that he will pray for you, and you will live.” God had revealed Himself to Abraham on numerous occasions.
Pastor Robert Jeffress hit back at Democratic Rep. Luis Gutierrez after the Illinois congressman invoked Jesus Christ during a rant about the proposed border wall. Rev. Jeffress said by building a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border President Trump is not only fulfilling his constitutional duty but his “God-given responsibility.”
“Walls are not un-Christian,” Jeffress said on ‘FOX & Friends’ Saturday. “The Bible says even heaven is gonna have a wall around it. Not everyone’s going to be allowed in.”
“When President Trump is insisting on a wall, he is fulfilling not only his constitutional but his God-given responsibility and he should not be demonized for doing that,” Jeffress said.
Jeffress once said President Barack Obama had to prepare the way for the anti-Christ. Jeffress straightened out Buttigieg for criticizing Trump and evangelicals as spending too much time on issues that Jesus never talked about, such as abortion. It’s about murder Buttigieg, you obviously have never read the Bible….
“Nowhere is government told to forgive those who wrong it, nowhere is government told to turn the other cheek,” Jeffress said.
The conservative pastor said earlier this week that police officers are “ministers of God sent by God to punish evildoers” — which is what he said the Bible calls for in a president.
Pastor Robert Jeffress who says that Donald Trump has been sent by the one, true evangelical God and suggested that (gay) presidential candidate Pete Buttigieg, who questions Trump’s Christian awesomeness, might just be an agent of the devil! Seriously!
On Saturday’s Fox & Friends, co-host Griff Jenkins reported that Buttigieg is “facing backlash after questioning President Trump’s faith.” Cohost Pete Hegseth read part of Buttigieg’s quote: “I’m reluctant to comment on another person’s faith [Hegseth interjected “as he should be”] but I would say it’s hard to look at this president’s actions and believe that they’re the actions of someone who believes in God.”

Sometimes I might not always support a Presidents polices 100% but I feel that the American People should be more supportive about the Border Wall . I think it is a piece of American tradition to finish everything that we have started out to do if there is good reason for it . Your average American Citizen these days seem to object to just about everything even if it may not be easy , but obviously the only thing left to do with the crisis that is now taking place on the Mexican U.S. Border . Although I do not have money to offer to see that the Border Wall is quickly constructed ,
