In the city of Austin, Texas, dozens of local, state, and federal agencies have started performing what is being called "a large radiological event drill."

The National Nuclear Security Administration of the United States Department of Energy, in partnership with the Austin Homeland Security and Emergency Management Office, is in charge of the Cobalt Magnet 22 exercise. This exercise, which is a field training exercise to combat threats of radiological attacks, brings together thirty different agencies.

According to a tweet from the Austin Emergency Management, the drill will take place in a number of different places around the metro region this week.
