Watchman: Remember Jesus, Whom the Prophets Foretold Would Be “Despised and Rejected. . . . Like One From Whom People Hide Their Faces He Was Despised, and We Held Him in Low Esteem” (Isaiah 53:3)

Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. Proverbs 12:16 I’ve always thought that the ancient adage “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” is a little overstated. Harsh words, name-calling, and insults sting, especially when delivered by individuals we thought we could trust. Being insulted, especially by a stranger, is never pleasant. As a result, our natural tendency is to defend ourselves and respond to an insult. People shouldn’t treat us like that, we think, and in most circumstances, they shouldn’t. But, this adage suggests the reverse. Why? Why would it be stupid to react angrily straight away and prudent to ignore an insult? Wouldn’t that merely encourage people to continue harming us and others? To be clear, it is critical that inappropriate and harmful behavior is appropriately addressed.…

Throughout the Old Testament the Prophets Were Called God’s Servants. In Jesus’ Day, the Disciples That Followed a Teacher Served Their Leader Like a Servant

John 15:15-17 15 I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. 16You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit-fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. 17 This is my command: Love each other. In the entire Old Testament, the prophets were referred to as God’s servants. In the time of Jesus, followers of a teacher served their leader as servants. Jesus made it possible for a greater number of people to enter a relationship than under the old covenant. God referred to Abraham as His friend and addressed him in a very personal manner. He…

The Watchman: Daily Devotion,The Prophets Spoke in Riddles. Their Words Painted a Vivid Picture of a Time When the Divine Presence Would Reside in the Midst of His People. They Spoke of a Life That Had Undergone a Profound Change. Once Upon a Time, There Was a Tale of a Day When the Spirit of God Would Be Poured Out

Colossians 1:27-29 27 To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. 28 We proclaim him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone perfect in Christ. 29 To this end I labor, struggling with all his energy, which so powerfully works in me. The prophets provided hints. The day when God would live among His people was described in their words. They wrote about a life that had changed. They spoke of a day when God’s Spirit would be released. When Jesus said that He would return to dwell in those who obeyed Him, He made sense of those old predictions. The apostles eventually realized they were in that time period. They started to understand that the…

Watchman: Steve Quayle Joined Alex Jones Live via Skype to Discuss the World’s Growing Dangers and Evils. During This Discussion, Quayle Shared His Account of a Vision He Had in Which Jesus Christ Entrusted Him With Joseph’s Ministry–Today There Are Many So-Called Prophets That We Might Spell “Profits” Because They Are Motivated by Money

SRH: In the Bible, watchmen were guards tasked with guarding cities and military outposts against unexpected enemy attacks and other potential threats. Watchmen were frequently posted in watchtowers or on high walls in ancient Israelite cities. It was their responsibility to keep watch and alert the locals to any threats. The Hebrew word for “watchman” is “one who looks out,” “one who spies,” or “one who watches.” Watchmen occasionally served as scouts who kept an eye out for both friends and enemies on the move. The Bible frequently makes mention of watchmen who kept an eye out for potential dangers: “Now the watchman was standing on the tower in Jezreel, and he saw the company of Jehu as he came and said, ‘I see a company.’ Take a horseman and send him to meet them, and let him ask, “Is…

Yet these victories mask tragic…

PT.2- Why God DOES NOT speak to His people through prophets “in these last days”- Heb.1:1,2

As different as the Old Testament is from the New Testament. So is the Old Testament prophet different from believers who prophesy in the New Testament. And as different as the function of the Holy Spirit was in the Old Testament from in the New Testament. So it is that this difference in His function in the New Testament determines how God speaks to the believer today. It is because of these differences that Heb.1:1,2 shows us that God no longer speaks to His people of future events through prophets. But, now uses prophesying solely to edify, exhort, and comfort His people. In this message I wanted to follow up on why God does not speak through prophets to His people in these last days by looking at the passages in 1Cor.12 and 14 that time did not permit…

Why God DOES NOT Speak to His People Through Prophets “In These Last Days”- Heb.1:1,2

We are seeing many who call themselves prophets speaking as it were for God saying all sorts of things. Sometimes even seeming to get it right. But, we are not only told by Jesus that we must not be deceived by them. We also see in passages like Heb.1:1,2 that God does not speak to His people through prophets. Heb.1:1,2 says “God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake IN TIME PAST unto the fathers BY THE PROPHETS, Hath IN THESE LAST DAYS spoken unto us BY HIS SON, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds.” And 1John2:26,27 says, “These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you. But the ANOINTING which ye have received of him abideth in you, AND YE NEED NOT THAT ANY MAN…

What Does The Bible Say Really Happened In The Garden?

That’s what the prophets said, right? Yes, that’s what they said. But, you never see them saying it is for the forgiveness of the sin of Adam, do you? Of course not. Because they never said that men are held accountable for another’s sins. In fact, Ez.18:20 says that it is only the soul that sinneth that shall die. And that the son will not bear the iniquity of the father. Edward O’Hara Sat 12/28/2019 11:03 PM Here is an enumerated list of what the Bible plainly says of the events in the garden. From Gen.1:26-301. God made man in His image and likeness.2. God made them male and female.3. God made them with free will and dominion on earth over what He made. And told them to be fruitful and multiply and subdue the earth. From Gen.2:7-4. God made their bodies…

Very Unusual Seismic Activity On West Coast Has Experts Extremely Concerned

We are given a warning: we are not to be deceived, because these events are only the beginning of birth pains… After a bit less than 6 months and more than 100,000 aftershocks after the Ridgecrest event… Southern California geologists are waiting in fear for the next Big One… The west coast never stops shaking, but lately, the shaking has gone to an entirely new level, and this has many people deeply concerned about what may become. Last summer, a series of alarming foreshocks immediately preceded the two historic quakes that shook the Ridgecrest area in southern California. But those quakes were nothing compared to “the Big One” that scientists assure us is way overdue. Someday an earthquake that is hundreds of times stronger will absolutely devastate the California coastline, and it may be arriving a lot sooner than many people think. Farther north,…
