Watchman: Proposed Legislation in Canada Would Criminalize Bible Quotations as Hate Speech

Conservative and religious organizations in Canada are opposing a measure that would make it a crime to quote the Bible as hate speech. “Bill C-9 makes it easier for people of faith and others to be criminally charged because of views that other people take offense to,” cautioned Andrew Lawton, a Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Conservative opposition.
