Blessed Is That Word “Free,” and Blessed Is He Who Spends Himself to Make Men So

Egypt is a microcosm of the world. Pharaoh is comparable to Satan, the prince of this world. Those who are called by God are born into the world and subject to its rule. But when the LORD summons them, the prince of this world will not let them leave easily. He wants their servitude. He desires their worship and despises the idea of people worshiping the LORD. "I will not let my slaves go," he usually says.

The LORD summons those to whom He will give His firstborn son. He considers them his own children. As the heirs of their father, the firstborn have rights and benefits. The Father summons us from the world to worship Him. We have been serving Pharaoh, but we are no longer to do so. Now we are to leave the world and worship God (2 Corinthians 6:17).

The funny thing is that some people find the relentless grind of the master, sin, to be pleasurable. The brick quota is constantly increased, and we must pick our own straw, but we still prefer Egypt (the world). We are so busy that we don't have time to worship the LORD. The cunning snake has duped us into believing that slavery is a good thing. He points to the things that fill our senses—leeks and garlic—and claims that the slavery is worthwhile. It is the end (Romans 6:23). The quota will be raised until the taskmasters exhaust us.

The Great Deliverer is Jesus. He has come to set you free from the bonds of the world so that you can worship Him.

Ask this: Have you come out and started worshiping, or are you so busy that you don't have time to worship?

Blessed is the word "free," and blessed is he who invests in making men such. You did well to flood your streets and welcome the guy who has broken the yoke from the oppressed's neck with happy acclamations. Many of Italy's sons have performed admirably, but he outperforms them all and deserves the admiration of all the noble and brave. Political slavery is a heinous evil. To live, think, act, and speak with another's consent! It would be preferable to not have a life at all! To rely on a despot's will for my survival is to die.

Craven spirits may wear their master's dog collar and fawn at his feet for the bones of his table, but men worthy of the name would rather feed the vultures on the battlefield. The burden of civil bondage is too heavy for brave spirits to bear with patience, so they fret and groan beneath it; the tyrant does not like this murmuring, so he puts the suffering into his dungeons and commands that they eke out their days there. Blessed is he who tosses down the despot, shatters his cell doors, and restores the rights of true men.

We have never felt, thus we are unaware of the agony of slavery. Our emancipators have passed on to the world of spirits, leaving us with an heirloom of liberty for which we should honor their names and worship their God. How we should honor them if they might have lived until today! But now that they are gone, we should applaud our great guest as if we saw in him the spirit of all our glorious liberators whose names have been enshrined. Political liberty provides for so much of what is good and ennobling, and its antithesis involves so much that is debasing, that the mightiest nation devoid of it is actually poor, and the poorest of all people, if only free, are truly rich.

The Great Tribulation

It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the "Tribulation" tab on our "Trending" menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman

In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
