A megachurch in North Carolina has declared that in order to promote Easter Sunday services, they would not use terms like Calvary, resurrection, or expressions like “blood of Jesus.”
“I will not speak the word Calvary,” I will not use the term “resurrection.” I will not speak of the “blood of Jesus.” Correct? Elevation Church’s digital content developer Nikki Shearer declared, “I won’t say anything that makes someone feel alienated. “This is a really crucial tenet to follow.”
Over 25,000 people attend Elevation Church, which is led by Steven Furtick and has locations all over the state. The Evangelical Dark Web and Protestia were the first to find the podcast interview.
According to Shearer, it’s critical that individuals experience extreme relaxation when receiving an offer to participate in the church’s Easter services.
“It’s very important to us to think about a deeply traditional holiday like Easter and how we can connect with someone who is not deeply involved in the tradition and encourage them to attend,” the speaker stated.

The pastor posted on Facebook, saying, “You come to ELBC and we will mention all of those words on Easter Sunday.” “The church can mention the blood, Calvary, and the resurrection if the bars can mention beer, wine, and spirits.”
It appears that Elevation Church considers terms like “resurrection” to be vulgar and derogatory. And what kind of advertising gimmick is it that they employ to encourage people to attend services?

Also, the phrase is used on occasions when certain god-fearing Israelites switched from serving God to idols.
Turning away from God can take many forms, including walking away from God into other religions, rejecting God’s sustaining power, or embracing doctrines inconsistent with biblical truth. As an example of turning away from God, one called King Amaziah, who served God, went to war with his enemies. Upon defeating his enemies, he collected the idols of his enemies, brought them to his kingdom, set them up as his gods, and worshiped them. This is turning away from God.
