The Exodus is a story of deliverance

Exodus 12:13 13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are; and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt.

The story of the Exodus is one of deliverance. Even after God demonstrated to the Egyptians that He was greater than all the gods they worshiped, they refused to let the Israelites depart to worship Him. The death of the firstborn was the final scourge. The Egyptians worshiped Pharaoh as a god, and his son would succeed him. Because God is kind, this was the last Egyptian god to be tormented.

God provided a means for His people to avoid the angel of death. They were supposed to kill and consume a spotless lamb. The blood was to be splattered on the doorposts. If their home was marked with blood, God would pass over (pasah) them. In Hebrew, the term refers to a mother bird hovering over her brood. God will not fly over their house, but will instead serve as their protector and shield (Isaiah 31:5). No harmful plague would affect them if the blood was applied.

The lamb has been slaughtered. The lamb that God promised Abraham would be provided died on the cross. His blood was spilled so that you and I might write our names on the doorposts of our house. When we do, we can be confident that He will watch over us and protect us from the world's calamities (Psalm 91). We will experience problems and testing, but they will not be detrimental to our success. Instead, they will nurture us. The hardships will be constructive rather than destructive, so we can rejoice when we confront them. The Lord will forgive you if you have blood on your heart. The destroyer will not be permitted to enter your home.

Lord Jesus, keep me secure under the protection of Your wings.

The Great Tribulation

It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the "Tribulation" tab on our "Trending" menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman

In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
