Watchman Notes Satan Soldiers Moving: House Republicans and Speaker Mike Johnson just made the entire New Testament illegal.

A broad hate crime legislation that will prohibit sections from the Holy Bible was passed by Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans in concert with Democrats.

With resounding approval, the House enacted the Antisemitism Awareness Act in reaction to the bloody riots that have erupted on numerous college campuses.

The Department of Education would be compelled by the legislation to enforce antidiscrimination statutes using the working definition of antisemitism provided by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance.

Apparently, though, no one in Congress bothered to read the IHRA’s working definition of antisemitism. They maintain that it is today deemed antisemitic to make any assertion or accusation that Jews killed Jesus.

Stated differently, Speaker Mike Johnson and House Republicans have just made the entire New Testament illegal.

“I reject antisemitism in all of its manifestations. Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) vehemently denounced the repulsive acts of pro-Hamas, pro-genocide, and anti-Israeli happening all throughout the country. The Congressman said, “This bill is little more than an effort to score political points and is so poorly drafted that it violates the Constitution and could have serious ramifications for the Christian community.” “The House should have examined the bill through regular order, where those concerns might have been considered and alleviated.”

Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) expressed concern about possible strong backlash against Christians and did not vote in favor of the bill.

“This legislation disregards the Constitution, common sense, and even the common understanding of word meaning,” declared Gaetz.Within the parameters of this legislation, the gospel itself would qualify as antisemitism!

I was told by Texas Congressman Troy Nehls that antisemitism is already illegal. The latest measure, he claimed, was intended to convey a message.

Regretfully, someone misread that message. I doubt Republicans truly meant to outlaw the Word of God, hence I’ll just write this off to incompetence.
