The Texas immigration law, which would have given state law enforcement the authority to detain and arrest anyone they believe is entering the nation illegally, was put on hold by the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday.

The administrative stay imposed by Justice Samuel Alito, who presides over the federal circuit overseeing the case, essentially delayed the execution of SB4 until March 13. This brief stoppage gives the Supreme Court more time to consider the matter, but it does not reveal the court’s final position.

In an emergency motion, the Biden administration asked the Supreme Court to stop Texas from applying the legislation on Monday. SB4 will give state law enforcement agents the authority to apprehend and prosecute recent border crossers who are illegal aliens.

Entering or leaving Texas illegally from abroad would be a state offense under Texas law. State judges might compel anyone to leave the nation, with possible prison terms of up to 20 years for those who don’t comply. State and municipal law enforcement would also have the ability to arrest and punish violators.

Without the high court’s intervention, the law would have taken effect on Tuesday.

In response to a plea from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the American Civil Liberties Union, U.S. District Court Judge David Ezra last week temporarily stopped Texas state officials from implementing SB4.

When your own president is actively battling in court to permit illegal immigrants to enter the nation he is sworn to defend, it is very excellent! This stuff simply cannot be made up! It’s completely absurd!

State authority already supersedes federal authority. Federal law still prohibits the use of marijuana. But it’s now legal to distribute, sell, and consume it in so many states. The Constitution grants no rights to illegal immigrants. Texas will proceed and disregard the decision.

They have the right to secede from the United States at any time, as stipulated by their constitution and the fact that they were a republic before they joined the country. It appears that current events in America are exerting pressure on them and attempting to prevent them from protecting their borders and the state’s citizens from this invasion, which is being promoted by the Biden Administration.
