Humans seek spirituality via evil. Thus, people can be “spiritual” while being evil. Same as New Age. Holy God does not require immorality given up. Nobody must conform to a righteous God.

The Israelites were admonished by Moses not to be like them. They were to watch for the prophet God would raise up. This prophet would reveal spiritual truth without compromising with evil. Similar to Moses, this prophet. Moses delivered. Moses was humble. Moses received God’s Word and shared it.

God raised the Jewish prophet Jesus. He must be heard. He has immortal phrases. But unlike worldly spiritual self-indulgence, He says we must take up our cross daily and follow Him. He says we shall lose our life if we strive to save it. No wonder individuals choose death-dealing paths.

Jesus is the way, truth, and life (John 14:6). Moses predicted God’s prophet. He must be heard. His way is self-destruction and life in Him. The sorcerer and diviner’s path promises life, encourages self-indulgence in ‘life’, but leads to physical and spiritual death.
