Watchman: Media Matters Sues Texas AG in Maryland Over Investigation of Its Report on Musk’s X–Media Matters Are the Same People That Tried to Destroy AG Paxton Earlier When It Went to Court, and They Failed. Throw Soros Out; He Can Take Media Matters With Him

HNewsWire:

The same folks who tried to bring down AG Paxton earlier in the legal process—Media Matters—failed to succeed. Get rid of Soros; he can take his media problems with him. Media affairs are skewed, Soros-funded nonsense.

In a federal court lawsuit, Media Matters for America claims that Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's declared inquiry is "chilling" the reporting of its senior investigative reporter on Elon Musk's X app.

The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday by the progressive watchdog group Media Matters. It had revealed last month that, based on its analysis, X was a platform that sponsored far-right extremists and hosted bigots. It also alerted advertisers to the fact that their content was being displayed next to anti-Semitic and pro-Hitler content.

After referencing the research, major firms including as Apple, Disney, Sony, and Fox Sports indicated that they would no longer be using the site for their advertising campaigns. In response, X claimed that Media Matters had falsified its findings. This led Mr. Paxton to declare on November 21 that he was looking into Media Matters "for potential fraudulent activity" in its report.

A USELESS shixthole organization called Media Matters aims to prevent people from learning things they disagree with. These "fact-checking" websites are formed and maintained by NAZIs who wish to chop off your tongue. Their corporate strategy is an anti-free speech plot.

Furthermore, given that they refuse to share their methods and algorithms, why should I or anybody else believe their pontifications regarding truth or falsity? Would you consult with an expert who refuses to share their strategies with you? I will respond to that. NO We are always looking for transparent financial statements.

Media Matters has a failing score from me because they don't give full openness about how they operate. They are nothing more than a group that destroys people's reputations by disparaging those who they disagree with and branding them "fake news." In actuality, those they have maligned need to file for bankruptcy against them. The best course of action is to provide their victims with pro bono legal assistance and sue Media Matters for lost profits as a result of defamation.

Relying on the argument that the AG office's request to “rifle through their most sensitive journalistic and organizational documents” would violate their First and Fourteenth Amendment rights, Media Matters is requesting a judge in a federal court in Maryland to permanently stop Mr. Paxton's probe.

Although Media Matters stated in its court filing that "draft articles [Mr. Hananoki] intended to publish about violent extremism on X were cut for fear of further retaliation from Paxton," Mr. Paxton's inquiry did not ask Media Matters to cease publishing its findings.

It stated, "Defendant Paxton's actions demanding unrestricted disclosure of Hananoki's newsgathering sources and means have chilled his speech. Hananoki wishes to continue writing and publishing articles about how Musk's ownership of X has enabled political extremism on the platform."

The senior investigative reporter for Media Matters who wrote the study, Mr. Hananoki, is a resident of Maryland. In its filing, Media Matters further contended that the reporter has only operated out of Maryland and the District of Columbia, which are the only states with "shield" laws that insulate journalists from being forced to reveal legally protected, confidential sources.

The Texas AG's actions were described as "a baseless and arbitrary government investigation in a state to which they have no relevant connection," according to other allegations.

On X, Mr. Musk had praised Mr. Paxton's investigation and stated, "There are both civil and criminal penalties for fraud."

Additionally, X is suing Media Matters for illegally meddling in its business dealings with advertising.

As for Media Matters, Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey had earlier disclosed that the organization may have engaged in "potentially unlawful business practices."

In his letter, Mr. Bailey charged that the progressive group was acting "in an attempt to harm free speech by defaming the organization and causing advertisers to pull their support from the platform."

In a release, Mr. Bailey stated, "We are not going to let Missourians get ripped off in the process of radicals trying to kill Twitter because they cannot control it." "I'm fighting to prevent market manipulation by progressive tyrants disguising themselves as news outlets in order to stifle free speech."

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.) announced earlier this week that he had written to the CEOs of eighteen companies informing them of their choice to boycott X while keeping up business with the TikTok social media platform, which is owned by China.

In a statement obtained by Fox Business, he stated, "I'm just asking for a little consistency." "If these corporations are boycotting X out of concern for their reputation, then I expect them to maintain that standard on all social media platforms."

I pray that God will punish George Soros just as harshly as He punished the devil.

We owe our server source about $20,000. They were nice enough not to shut down the service, which let us keep our news website up. But we don't know how much longer they will keep going without getting paid for their work. We want to avoid paying those high server provider fees, so we need to raise about $6,000 to buy our own server and keep up with our website ourselves. Each month, we have an internet service fee of about $160 and an electric service fee of about $300. This is what HNewsWire needs going forward. God bless.
