By SRH,
California experienced its fifth earthquake within a mere 48-hour period, raising questions about the underlying causes of this unusual seismic activity.
The latest tremor, measuring 3.3 in magnitude, occurred 32 miles southeast of Coachella at approximately 1:39 a.m. PST on Sunday.
All five quakes originated from Salton City, generating a series of tremors around the 3.0 magnitude mark that extended to El Centro, the largest city in the Imperial Valley, situated 42 miles away.
A recent report highlighted that the region experienced 16 earthquakes with magnitudes of three or greater in May.
Seismologist Lucy Jones shared on X that the ongoing seismic activity in the Imperial Valley is being referred to as a swarm. “These occurrences are quite common in the Imperial Valley,” she noted.
The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has verified that the earthquakes originated from a depth of just 2.2 miles below the surface.
Generally, people only perceive earthquakes that register at a magnitude of 3.0 or above, although this can vary based on the depth and location of the tremors.
In some cases, earthquakes can initiate from depths reaching up to 400 miles underground.
Matthew 24:6-13
6 You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. 7 Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are the beginning of birth pains.
9 “Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me. 10 At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, 11 and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. 12 Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, 13 but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.
