What Moses and Elijah discussed with Jesus remains a mystery. The fact that they spoke of Jesus’ departure in Jerusalem is unique to Luke’s gospel, nevertheless. His death could also be implied by this term. So far, that has been our sole indicator of the nature of their conversation. After then, Jesus started telling His disciples that He was going to die soon (Luke 9:44).
According to Luke 2:40, Jesus grew wise even as a youngster. For everything that God accomplished via Him, he brought glory to God (John 14:10). According to John 5:19, He only carried out the Father’s will. Despite combining divine and human natures, Jesus nevertheless needed the help of the Holy Spirit. After becoming one with the Father in the womb of Mary, theologians wonder what else Jesus did not take with Him (Philippians 2:7).
The Bible and the Holy Spirit are our sources of knowledge. Like Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration, we might even receive a revelation. Jesus was completely distinct from the rest of us because He possessed a sinless nature that did not hinder His fellowship with the Holy Spirit or His comprehension of God’s Word.
An ever-deepening knowledge of the Word and closer fellowship with the Holy Spirit accompany our maturation in Christ as we resist the temptation to live a sinful life (Romans 13:14). Refusing to allow sin to have a place in our lives is the first step in becoming closer to the Lord and hearing Him more clearly. The next step is to be quiet and listen to God’s voice as they speak to us via His Word.
Take into consideration: A lot of individuals long for a revelation, for a clear way to hear God’s voice. Few will make it a priority to spend time in prayer and study of the Word. Where do you stand?
