SNL ….

Leftists in the entertainment industry have taken aim on a defenseless and innocent victim in the Republican Party – President Donald Trump’s 10-year-old son – by taking repulsive and unprovoked pot-shots about him on Twitter.

Taking advantage of Trump’s inaugural weekend, Leftist writers and comedians took to Twitter to attack Barron Trump, portraying him as a “homeschool terrorist,” “rapist” and arsonist.

New low for SNL

Saturday Night Live (SNL) – which has been busy over the past year attacking Trump, Sr., every chance it could get – saw one of its writers, Katie Rich, attack Barron on her personal Twitter account.

“Barron will be this country’s first homeschool shooter,” Rich tweeted to her followers during Trump’s inauguration ceremony, drawing a great backlash of outrage across the nation.

Even the Leftist media called out the SNL writer for her unwarranted post.

“That it even need be said is ridiculous, but mocking the 10-year-old child of a politician you loathe is odious, immoral, & self-defeating,” CNN’s Jake Tapper tweeted in response.

Rich proceeded to protect her account by deleting the post and then deactivate it, but once she got it up and running again, she tweeted an apology.

“I sincerely apologize for the insensitive tweet,” Rich expressed Sunday on Twitter. “I deeply regret my actions & offensive words. It was inexcusable & I’m so sorry.”

According to The New York Times, an unauthorized NBC source familiar with SNL’s plans revealed that Rich had been indefinitely suspended over the remark, which was indicated at the close of the iconic comedy program over the weekend.

“Her name did not appear in the closing credits of Saturday Night Live in its broadcast on Saturday,” Townhall reported.

It was noted that Rich’s comments were as uninformed as they were unwarranted.

“While Rich managed to get in a dig on homeschoolers, she apparently is unaware that Barron isn’t even homeschooled,” WND indicated, noting that nearly 80,000 people signed a petition to get Rich fired over the comment. “He attends Columbia Grammar and Preparatory School in New York.”

Not very funny

Joining in on the slew of attacks on Barron was Comedy Central writer Stephen Spinola, who resorted to making jokes about his genitalia and poking fun of him as being a child sexual predator – even working his own mom into the fray of insults.

“Barron Trump looks like a very handsome date-rapist-to-be,” Spinola posted on his now-deleted tweet.

He followed up with more vulgarity

“I don’t want my Mom to get raped, but if she does, I hope it’s by Barron Trump – [inappropriate comment about genitalia size omitted] & we’d win lots of money in court,” Spinola continued.

Not appearing too remorseful over his tweets, the writer squeezed out a half-hearted apology.

“I believe in Math and the stats are saying I made a bad joke,” Spinola tweeted on Monday. “I truly apologize if it hurt Barron Trump’s feelings. And thats [sic] all I can say.”

Comedian also gangs up on Barron

In yet another disparaging remark aimed at the 10-year-old, comedian Matt Oswalt took a cheap shot on the president’s son, referring to him as a maniacal arsonist.

“Barron Trump is wandering around the White House right now looking for stuff to burn,” Oswalt tweeted.

Putting things in perspective

In lieu of the bombardment of attacks, Chelsea Clinton, former President Bill Clinton’s daughter, who also lived in the White House as a young child, defended Barron in a social media post of her own.

“Barron Trump deserves the chance every child does-to be a kid,” the daughter of former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton expressed on her Facebook page. “Standing up for every kid also means opposing POTUS policies that hurt kids.”

A comparison was made by the conservative media between the recent attacks on Barron and any criticism aimed at former President Barack Obama’s daughters while they lived in the White House.

“By contrast to the mocking of Barron, public figures and members of the media vehemently denounced any targeting of Sasha and Malia Obama, as the girls were considered off limits to jokes and public scrutiny,” WND’s Chelsea Schilling pointed out. “For example, former Hill staffer Elizabeth Lauten sparked outrage in 2014 and resigned from her position after she suggested on her private Facebook page that Obama’s teenage daughters should have shown ‘a little class’ when they attended a Thanksgiving turkey pardoning ceremony. The girls, who had a look of boredom on their faces, attended the event wearing mini skirts and slouchy sweaters.”

Here is the post that got Lauten in deep trouble.

“Dear Sasha and Malia, I get you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re a part of the First Family – try showing a little class,” Lauten wrote on her Facebook page. “Rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at the bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised, public events.”

Lauten tweeted an apology just hours after her initial post as she received a landslide of public condemnation for her comments.

“When I first posted on Facebook, I reacted to an article, and I quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager,” Lauten explained on Twitter. “After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents, and re-reading my words online, I can see more clearly just how hurtful my words were.”

Pointing out mainstream media’s double-standard that is witnessed when it comes to attacking Democrats in the White House – who are off limits – as opposed to Republicans in office, who are open-season, then-RNC Communications Director Sean Spicer, who is currently serving in the Trump administration as White House press secretary, spoke out about the incident over two years ago.

“Children, especially the first daughters, are off limits,” Spicer commented about Lauten’s remarks in a series of tweets. “While the comments were inappropriate and insensitive, the mainstream media’s coverage of this story is appalling. In over 20 years in politics, I have never seen 1 of the countless inappropriate comments by Democrats ever covered to a faction [sic] of this.”

In a welcomed blog by MRCTV’s Liam Clancy regarding the barrage of attacks on Barron over Trump’s inaugural weekend, he mentioned how Leftists simply view the world differently.

“These attacks also show the strange projection of the Left,” Clancy wrote. “To the average person, Barron looks like a normal, cute American child. To the Left, he is an autistic school-shooter, arsonist rapist-to-be and the embodiment of white, male privilege. This is just another sign of Leftist hysteria surrounding anything related to President Trump.”
