Trump’s cabinet picks might not be what everyone dreams of in a perfect world, but when you compare them to the diverse crowd that could have come with a Harris administration, this group really has the chance to shake things up in a way that could benefit the country. I bet a lot of people are feeling let down by the mix of neo-cons, vaccine supporters, Soros fans, and Israel advocates in his cabinet. I’m feeling pretty let down by a few of the choices, and I can’t shake the worry that the Swamp has gotten to him once more.
So, the big question is if his key picks will actually follow through on what Trump wants them to do. Gabbard, Hegseth, Bondi, and RFK Jr. should really focus on cleaning house in their departments and bringing in some capable, dedicated, and brave patriots for those important roles. The middle-level bureaucrats are the ones who have been around forever and tend to slow down any changes when higher-ups try to make reforms or trim down their oversized departments. They really need to go. The Deep State is likely to pull out all the stops, using some pretty sneaky tactics to mess with the nominations of Trump’s main disruptors. They might even try to sneak in some moles to sabotage whatever those disruptors are trying to achieve.
The Deep State blob is really deeply rooted and won’t just disappear without a major fight. I’m worried that Gabbard, Hegseth, Bondi, and RFK Jr. might not be tough enough to get rid of the traitors in their departments, even if they manage to get confirmed by a Senate full of RINOs. I really believe that Elon and Vivek are both tough and wealthy enough to not worry about what the Swamp thinks of their suggestions. It’ll be interesting to see how much support Trump really provides them when things get tough. I think it’s pretty unlikely we’ll see any real cuts in this massive $7 trillion bureaucratic mess. Taking down the Deep State is going to need a tough, no-nonsense approach to deal with the harmful forces running the Swamp.

I would find it completely acceptable if Trump were to conclude the wars, secure our southern border, remove the DEI rhetoric, and implement reductions in government size. A significant societal transformation looms in our uncertain future.
