The Lawlessness Has Just Begun—A Watchman’s Urgent Warning: Get Prepared
Throughout history, civilizations have risen and fallen on the strength of their morals, laws, and sense of justice. Today, unsettling signs suggest that lawlessness is no longer a distant concern but a present and growing threat. As a Watchman, it is my duty to sound the alarm: the age of lawlessness has just begun. Now is the time to get prepared—spiritually, mentally, and practically.
Signs of Rising Lawlessness
- Violent crime and theft are on the rise in many cities, often met with shrinking law enforcement resources.
- Political corruption, abuse of power, and growing impunity undermine public trust.
- Social values are eroding, with traditional standards of right and wrong increasingly ignored or redefined.
- Organized protests and riots are escalating, frequently turning destructive and sometimes targeting innocent bystanders or vital infrastructure.
What the Scriptures Say
Lawlessness is not just a political or social phenomenon—it is also a spiritual issue. The Bible warns of such times:
- Matthew 24:12: “Because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold.”
- 2 Thessalonians 2:7: “For the secret power of lawlessness is already at work.” These verses remind us that lawlessness is a sign of shifting spiritual realities and often precedes seasons of great shaking.
Why Lawlessness Thrives
- Breakdown of authority: When leadership is weak, inconsistent, or self-serving, respect for the law vanishes.
- Loss of moral compass: When society dismisses absolute truths, anything becomes permissible.
- Economic hardship: Desperation and inequality can push people toward dishonesty, theft, or violence.
- Technological exploitation: Criminals and agitators use digital tools to organize and inflame chaos with unprecedented speed.
How to Get Prepared
- Strengthen Your Faith: Draw close to God through prayer, Scripture, and fellowship. Trust in His guidance and protection above all.
- Build Community: Connect with others who share your values. Communities united in purpose offer support, wisdom, and safety.
- Stay Informed: Be watchful and discerning—understand not just what’s happening, but why. Pray for wisdom to see events through God’s eyes.
- Practical Readiness: Have plans in place for emergencies. Secure your home, ensure you have necessities, and know how to reach loved ones.
- Be a Light: In a world growing colder, choose to show love, compassion, and integrity. Your actions and words may inspire hope and change.
