THE FAITH CONUNDRUM-John17:3

First I want to say a few words about Charlie Kirk. From what I know from what he has said about his faith. He had an understanding of God, Jesus, and the atonement that was close to what is taught in seminaries. He believed the soul was different than the body. And He also believed that grace could be overemphasized.

The reason he believed the soul was different from the body did not come from the Bible. But, from teaching in the churches. And his belief that grace can be overemphasized did not come from the Bible. His definition of grace also came from teaching in the churches.

Do you remember where the Bible teaches that the soul is the body? It comes from Gen.2:7. Because here God says they soul is the body He formed from the elements. And a living soul is a body that breathes.

And do you remember where the Biblical definition of grace comes from? It comes from John3:16. Because grace is God love in action. Not unmerited favor.

I will leave 2 links here and in the description box below so you can hear and determine for yourself whether he knew and preached the true gospel or not. Because even though in the clip about the soul he references the truth as something we need to know and believe. It is clear that his beliefs about grace and the soul were not true because they came from the churches. And not from the Bible.

I will not say whether he was born again or not. That is between him and the Lord. What I will say is that some or much of his doctrine was not Biblical.

Now on to the faith conundrum.

Free will… the answer to why God made mankind and put him in the garden. But, this truth makes original sin and sin nature a lie. The literal strong delusion of 2Thes.2.

It makes these a lie because free will and sin nature are mutually exclusive. If free will is true then sin nature is a lie. And vis a versa. It’s as simple as that.

Jesus said the sin of the world is unbelief. John16:9. Therefore when Paul says Jesus was made to be sin for us, and John says behold the lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world, the sin of the world that Jesus was made and bore on the cross was unbelief.

This is shown when on the cross He joined with us in our unbelief in those moments when He was separated from the Father. A separation all men will face if they never come to a saving faith in Jesus.

He did this so that when He would once again be joined to the Father it would make the way for us to be joined with God too. This is why Jesus said “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No man comes to the Father except through me”.

The lie of original sin makes men accountable for someone else’s sin. But, the Bible says the son does not bear the iniquity of the father. Ez.18:20. So that even under the law the doctrine of original sin is proven to be a lie.

The Bible even goes so far as to say that the sin Adam committed by eating the fruit from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was not only not imputed to us. It was not imputed to Adam either.

This is what Paul is teaching in Rom.5:12-14 where he says that the sin Adam did exposed man’s mortality. “Nevertheless, death reigned…” But, that the sin that exposed our mortality was not imputed to Adam or anyone else. So that death was not a punishment for sin.

It exposed Adam’s mortality by his being sent from the garden to no longer eat from the tree of life to continue to live forever. And once exposed to him it was the catalyst that caused man to seek after God. Which is the whole point. Because God made man for fellowship.

But, the main point I am trying to make is that his death was not a punishment for his or anyone else’s sin as the doctrine of original sin falsely teaches. It was the result of being sent from the garden.

You see, his eating from the tree of life that had kept Adam from realizing his mortality was in the garden. And with no more access to it mortality would begin to take its toll on mankind. He would not be able to live forever just as Gen.3:22 says.

And because Gen.3:22 says plainly that it was because Adam had become more like God that he was sent from the garden. We have more confirmation that it was not a punishment for his sin. But, simply the carrying out of God keeping His word.

Because in Gen.2:17 God told Adam that if the day comes that he eats from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he would begin to, and would finally, die. Which is exactly what we see happen to him and the rest of mankind after he was sent from the garden.

So don’t let anyone fool you into believing the works gospel of original sin or sin nature. Because there is not one iota of truth in it. Not one syllable of its convoluted dogma even remotely resembles truth.

Works did not make mankind what he is. And works can not change what he is. No matter who we say has done the works. We are here by God’s plan, purpose, and design. For His purpose that mankind would choose to join himself to Him by our own free will. A choice made to love Him after coming to know that He first loved us. 1John4:19

To come to know His love we first must choose of our own free will, without any constraints, to believe the gospel when we hear it. The gospel we find in 1Cor.15:1-4 that says Jesus came, He died, He rose, and He now lives by the power of the resurrection.

That He came to join with man in our mortality. And died to join with man in our death. And rose to conquer death for Himself and all men who will of their own free will, without any constraints, choose to trust in Him and His resurrection.

So the faith conundrum is this. If you have put your faith in a lie, even though the crux of that lie is that you say you believe in a Jesus who died for your sins and rose from the grave 3 days later, can such faith save you?

In Gal.1:8,9 Paul says that believing a perversion of the gospel he preached is anathema. So to him clearly believing what is not the truth is a disqualified from salvation.

And if you do believe that person is saved, then what about Mormons? Are they saved? They say they believe in a Jesus who died for their sins and rose again from the dead. And what about the rest of what many have determined to be the cults like JW’s, and yes even Roman Catholicism?

The truth is that to be saved Paul says in Rom.10:9,10 you must confess the Lord Jesus. And believe in your heart that He has raised from the dead. He did not say we must believe in Jesus’ works to be saved.

By faith without works you are saved because when you believe the gospel you are made a child of God as He creates a spirit in you that you never had before. Just as Jesus also told Nicodemus when He told him he must be born again. Made a child of God that by the spirit He created in you, and not by Jesus’ works or anyone else’s, is now made heir to His kingdom.

A child who also has access to the same resurrection Jesus had. By the same faith Jesus had. Which faith justifies you just as Jesus’ faith justified Him.

Receiving an immortal body at the resurrection of the dead that will house the spirit God creates in you when you trust in Jesus for all eternity. A child who when face to face with Jesus will never know pain, sorrow, or death ever again.

Do this and you will have eternal life now. Do this and you will have immortality at the resurrection. Do this… and I will see you there or in the air!
