The Growing Distaste for the Word of God in Todays World.

When we take a look at American culture, the early 2000’s is when we began to see innovation move at light speed. With it, came plenty criticism of the creation story as told in the Bible. Much of the controversy was swept under the rug as we moved past 2015. But now that we’ve gotten this far, after a pandemic and everyone has been stripped of their values, we’re seeing people bash Christianity while walking on egg shells for any other faith.

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice insofar as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.”

1 Peter 4:12-14

It’s very surreal to watch this heavy illusion put over people, and to think that they don’t like us for our religious beliefs. Most of us have the same questions when it’s all said and done, and the word of God contains the answers. In matthew 4:4 we see Jesus saying “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” So what exactly is it about our faith that is such a pain to others? Christians fall short, just like any man or woman would. But the mission always remains the same, continue to strive for improvement and stay in the word so that you’ll be better today than you were yesterday.

There seems to be a common trend among those who haven’t begun their walk with God, and that is they find exactly what is broken about them, slap a label on it and carry the baggage. Yet nobody wants to hear the message God intended for us to hear. That by faith in Jesus, your baggage can be turned to dust just like everything around us. People can no longer fit in our current socioeconomic systems anymore. The individual mind has more access to information than ever before and many don’t trust professionals because they’ve got all the answers in the palm of their hand. Why would you let some bozo tell you what to do if you’ve got an infinite amount of ways to prove them wrong?

Pride, is what is keeping secular society at bay and far from salvation. The American people have practically been programmed to believe that people of Christian faith are anti-science, and lack proper understanding of the nature of our world. When the obvious truth is, science is simply the study of God’s work. And when we see the metaverse arise, you’ll know for sure that man wants to create his own universes. And to play the role of God. This is merely a facet to what i believe is a mass awakening of anti-Christ spirits.

And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh, is not of God; and such is the spirit of Antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come, and even now already it is in the world.

According to a study conducted by the Cultural Research Center at Arizona Christian University, millennials’ indifference to Christianity is caused by several factors, including how they view the Bible and church. Research showed that only half of millennials or 51% viewed the Bible favorably, while only 50% viewed the Christian faith favorably.

Millennials’ indifference toward Christianity is also caused by distrust of pastors and the notion that Christians are hypocrites, the report revealed. Another reason is the uncertainty over how the ancient faith could apply to a post-modern society. The report’s findings reflect how millennials are slow to accept Christianity, reflecting the results of a previous survey that showed only 4% of millennials today hold a biblical worldview.

Survey results found that most millennials, despite not being drawn to Christianity, do not consider themselves as atheists. Only one-fourth or 25% of young adults viewed atheism favorably versus 31% who viewed atheism negatively or offered no opinion about it.

Meanwhile, across all generations, millennials had the lowest level when it comes to having a traditional, biblical worldview of who God is with just 35%. Furthermore, a little over half or 56% of millennials believe that moral truth is subjective rather than objective.

The new findings by the Cultural Research Center reflect a similar research conducted earlier this year. The Independent reported in May that more than four out of 10 millennials do not know, believe, or care that God exists. The findings were also conducted by the same research center at Arizona Christian University. The survey on 2,000 American adults at the time found that 57% considered themselves to be Christian.

So if the millennial generation is seeing a rapid decline in faith, what is to be said about their children? These trends carry over, and like a ripple in the ocean turning into a tsunami, this will continue to develop. Our assignment however, is to save as many brothers and sisters as we can. Without a biblical worldview, one might find their own lives to be too intimidating to fight for like a deer in the headlights. We have to reassure our loved ones that there is a path to salvation and peace in the midst of the collapse of civilization. Reaching out with confidence in the works of our God could completely shift the perspective of those who’s hearts are hardend to Christ. Stay inquisitive in the word of God, and the world around you.
