The Narrative Laid Down From Trudeau’s Twitter Feed, the Establishment Is Now Calling Protesting Truckers – Terrorists!

Yesterday in Ottawa, a police officer came into a pub to deliver a message from the Canadian government to the truckers protesting Canada’s vaccination mandates. In the course of his video filmed address, among other things, he said:

"Remove your vehicles yourselves now ... or ... you will be forfeiting the trucks to the Crown and anybody linked with those trucks will be arrested."

To which, one trucker answered to the police, "Just remove the MANDATES, and we'll leave."

Apparently, that was an alternative the police were not yet willing to examine.

Protesters continued to congregate and march against COVID-19 vaccination requirements and limitations in Canada’s capital on Feb. 6, commemorating the one week anniversary of the so-called "occupation."

“We are on day eight of this occupation. Our city is under assault. What we’re seeing is larger than just a City of Ottawa concern. This is a nationwide revolt. This is lunacy. We need a clear strategy to put an end to this,” said the head of the board, Ottawa City Council member Diane Deans, at the commencement of the almost two-hour-long virtual debate.

Ottawa police chief Peter Sloly agreed with her depiction of the situation, stating that local law enforcement was “never meant to cope with a city under siege,” and bemoaned the lack of resources – and legal authority – to disperse the demonstration.

At one point, Deans asked whether the city had legal grounds to proclaim an unlawful assembly and subsequently a riot, in order to undertake mass arrests, instead of pursuing “one criminal charge at a time.”

“There are so many individuals out there engaging in a bigger act of… mayhem, that we need to be able to put it all under control,” she added.

“We can’t allow this sort of terrorism in our neighborhood to continue this way.”

Yes, in accordance with the narrative put forth from Trudeau's twitter feed, the establishment is now labelling protesting truckers - terrorists!

And as a result of all that excitement, The Epoch Times adds that Ottawa Mayor Jim Watson has proclaimed a state of emergency owing to the trucker protest that continues in the city’s downtown center.

In a brief statement, the city said the decision reflected the “serious risk and threat to the safety and security of citizens presented by the ongoing demonstrations and underlines the need for cooperation from other jurisdictions and levels of government. ”

“It also provides greater flexibility within the municipal administration to enable the City of Ottawa to manage business continuity for essential services for its residents and enables a more flexible procurement process, which could help purchase equipment required by frontline workers and first responders,” the city said in its statement.

Protest organizers maintain their rally is peaceful... aside from this dreadful, awful, horrendous, terroristic attack on a nice, honest, local guy who was only attempting to cross the road...

The protest originated as a rally by truckers against the federal government’s demand for cross-border truck drivers to get vaccinated, but has now developed into a huge movement joined by individuals from around Canada to oppose numerous COVID-19 requirements and limitations. Vehicle convoys came to Ottawa on Jan. 29, and many have lingered in the city, with trucks and other vehicles parked on Parliament Hill. Many demonstrators claim they will remain until the regulations are lifted.

Sounds of honking horns may be heard throughout the day in the Parliament Hill neighborhood, which locals are complaining about.

Protest organizer Benjamin Dichter says those who are concerned with the honking should be emailing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and urging him to lift COVID-19 mandates.

“To everybody who is irritated, we apologize. Please contact Justin Trudeau, his office, and have these mandates lifted, and we’re out of here,” Dichter said during a news conference in Ottawa on Feb. 6.

Trudeau has declined to meet with the demonstrators.

Tom Quiggin, who is supporting the organizers with “protective intelligence,” said many people across Canada have lost their jobs, homes, and businesses as a result of COVID-19 regulations and limitations, and they have complaints too, which is why they are demonstrating in the nation’s capital.

“Let’s remember most of Ottawa is government, tremendous amount of public servants here. They haven’t missed a paycheque. They’ve had wage hikes, some of them have got back pay, most of them are working from home. Some of those who can’t work from home are basically doing nothing and yet being paid,” Quiggin remarked at the news conference.

“So yeah, it’s sad that they feel awful about the horns, yes, it’s unfortunate they feel horrible about the disturbance, but the rest of the country is hurting.”

Daniel Bulford, a former RCMP officer who resigned the police because of its vaccination mandate and is now supporting the protest organizers, said his children don’t want to play hockey anymore because of the position his family has taken on vaccine problems, as they feel “isolated and alienated.”

“The folks dealing with the honking, they’re not the only ones that are dealing with the consequences of all these mandates,” Bulford said during the news conference.

Is it conceivable that the mandate problem is just symbolic of a broader cause that is now at stake, not only in Canada, but in nations throughout the world: The loss of people’s liberty to some sort of a globalized government tyranny? Concurrent similar events in Australia, the United States and nations across Europe suggest this to be a very real possibility that, like Canada, have resulted in massive gatherings of people protesting their governments’ efforts to control the lives, businesses, employment and education of their people with an iron fist.
