A collective of government-supported, globally financed Dutch researchers is rejoicing after creating a mutant variant of “bird flu” that transmits swiftly among humans and leads to excruciating demise in every mammal that contracts the lethal virus.
The findings have ignited fury among watchdogs and independent researchers, who are raising concerns that this is yet another careless endeavor to create the next “pandemic,” this time cloaked in the pretense of “preparedness.”
Scientists at WBVR altered three strains of a particularly lethal avian virus, specifically from clade 2.3.4.4b.
They subsequently administered the altered virus to ferrets through direct nasal dosing or by placing them together in shared living spaces.
All the ferrets exposed to the virus either succumbed or were put to rest after experiencing severe levels of neurological and respiratory distress.
“All three contact transmission ferrets (group D) reached the [humane endpoint] on 7 DPI,” the study states, indicating the moment when the animals are deemed too unwell to persist in existence.
The researchers employed gain-of-function techniques to alter the virus, enabling it to transition from birds to mammals with a guaranteed lethal outcome.
However, critics are cautioning that the development marks yet another perilous phase in the global gain-of-function agenda.
A government-funded laboratory in the Netherlands has achieved a significant breakthrough by creating a mutant strain of H5N1 bird flu that transmits between mammals, resulting in complete mortality among lab animals, as reported in a peer-reviewed study.
The results of the study were published Tuesday in the Journal of General Virology.
The experiment was funded by taxpayer dollars and carried out at Wageningen Bioveterinary Research (WBVR).
The WBVR is a facility that receives financial backing from the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI).
CEPI is an organization founded by the World Economic Forum (WEF) and funded by the Gates Foundation.
