“The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun.” - Ecclesiastes 1:9

Men's hearts and corruptions are the same now as they were in the past; their aspirations, pursuits, and complaints are the same. This should move us away from expecting enjoyment from the creature and toward seeking eternal blessings. How many things and people were considered wonderful in Solomon's day, but hardly one remembers them anymore!

Let us cling to the far more profound reality that the future will be the same as the past because God is the same. God's yesterday is God's tomorrow, with the same love, resources, knowledge, power, sustaining hand, and all-encompassing presence. When we claim there is nothing new under the sun, let us understand that the deepest manner of expressing that notion is, "Thou art the same, and Thy unchanging plans know no alteration."

There is nothing in the universe but the monotonous repetition of the same things. The nature and course of the world's beings and affairs, as well as the tempers of men's minds, are generally the same as they have always been and will always be; and thus, because no man has ever yet received satisfaction from any worldly things, it is a vain and foolish thing for any person hereafter to expect it.

And then, at the same time, though I won't concentrate on it for too long, let us use the same notion to educate us to control our worries. Don't be afraid that anything will happen that will destroy the substantial likeness between the past and the future; so leave all those jarring and terrifying thoughts that mingle with all our expectations of the future on one side, and say, "Thou hast been my help; leave me not, nor forsake me, O God of my salvation."

The Great Tribulation

It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the "Tribulation" tab on our "Trending" menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman

In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
