Exodus 7:16-17 16 Then say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the wilderness. But until now you have not listened. 17 This is what the Lord says: By this you will know that I am the Lord: With the staff that is in my hand I will strike the water of the Nile, and it will be changed into blood.

Pharaoh's charge is that he will not listen to the LORD. God is constantly speaking throughout the world to set prisoners free. Are we paying attention, or are we just as guilty as Pharaoh? When we refuse to listen to God, that is, take Him seriously, He has resort to more harsh measures to obtain our attention. He refused to listen since he revered other gods. They are not really gods, but rather creations of the LORD. God proceeded to demonstrate to Pharaoh that only Jehovah is God.

The Nile was Egypt's most worshipped god. It was the first to be infected by the plague. Each plague struck something sacred to the Egyptians. When you read the account, you'll note that Pharaoh hardened his heart throughout the early plagues. Despite God's demonstration that Pharaoh's gods are worthless, he refused to listen to God's word. God hardened his heart around midway through the plagues. Pharaoh had ample evidence that the LORD is God, but he refused to accept it. Now it is clear who Pharaoh worships. Pharaoh himself has appeared.

Things we refuse to hear the LORD urge us to give up will be taken away or proved to be useless. What will we do when we discover that the true deity we have worshiped is ourselves? Will we turn back before crossing that line?

Today is the day to hear God. Take everything He says to you to heart.

In the near future, we will devote the "Tribulation" tab on our "Trending" menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman

In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
