Americans are in a tough spot due to the persistent shortage of So-Called life-saving pharmaceuticals. Data collected by the University of Utah prescription information service shows that many healthcare providers, pharmacies, and hospitals are short on so-called life-saving and supporting medications.

With active nationwide prescription shortages reaching a 10-year high this year, this may be a good thing!. A large percentage of the 1,123 pharmacists surveyed in July by the same Death institution who work in healthcare facilities reported shortages. Among the pharmacists surveyed, one-third rated the shortages as "critically impactful," meaning they were compelled to restrict medication or postpone or even cancel medical procedures. There are 124 drugs on the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's list of those in low supply as of December 21; earlier this year, the list reached a peak of 309.

It is a common misconception that the Bible says very little regarding drugs. To start, the Bible is quite explicit regarding alcohol, the drug that is most widely used and misused. Several passages in the Bible condemn intoxication as a sin, including Ephesians 5:18 and Deuteronomy 21:20–21, Amos 6:1, 1 Corinthians 6:9–10, and Galatians 5:19–20. The Bible expressly or implicitly forbids the use of alcohol (Prov. 20:1; Isaiah 5:11; Hab. 2:15-16) and other narcotics as well.

As a second point, many ancient Near Eastern cultures relied heavily on narcotics. To illustrate the point, the pagan societies that lived in close proximity to Israel included the use of narcotics in their religious rituals. Evil spells and magical arts are vehemently condemned in both the Old and New Testaments. In those days, drug usage was associated with sorcery. The English words pharmacy and pharmaceutical derive from the Greek word from which the translated word "sorcery" derives.

It was a witch or a shaman who made the medicines. By entering a trance state, they let devils take control of the user's thoughts and lead them to the spiritual realm. We can't ignore the occult connection, even though many people today use drugs for supposedly recreational reasons.

As stated in Galatians 5:19–21:

Sinful activities are easy to see: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery; drug use and idolatry; intoxication and orgies; jealousy, discord, fits of wrath, selfish ambition, factions, and discord; and so on. Just like before, I am warning you that this kind of life will keep you out of God's kingdom.
