Watchman: The Freedom From Religion Foundation Says the Religious Decals on the Sheriff Truck in TX (In God We Trust) Are Illegal and Unconstitutional. SRH: Hey, Godless Foundation! Come and Take It Down! We’re Waiting? Demonic Times!

During their patrols, the deputies of the Kinney County Sheriff’s Dept. find solace and strength in prayer and the teachings of God. Indeed.

Every patrol car proudly displays a Bible verse. One officer, for instance, proudly displays a passage from Ephesians on his vehicle.

“Wear the armor of God to stand strong against the strategies of the devil,” the verse stated.

The Texas border community is currently dealing with a significant threat posed by the influx of undocumented individuals, which includes the presence of drug cartels.

The significance of the Bible verses lies in their role as a guiding force, as Chief Deputy Armando Garcia of Kinney County explains, "God is our true leader."

I have faith in God as a Christian. Garcia expressed gratitude for the person who has consistently helped them navigate through perilous circumstances.

However, the Freedom From Religion Foundation argues that the religious decals are in violation of the law and the constitution.

An organization in Wisconsin is requesting that the sheriff's department remove the Bible verses from patrol vehicles.

"Kinney County should promptly remove the bible quotes from its official vehicles to uphold the constitutional separation between religion and government, and to acknowledge the diverse perspectives of its residents and employees," stated FFRF. The county's display of Bible verses on government property and public statements about residents' religious beliefs have raised concerns about appropriateness.

The out-of-town atheists strongly suggested they would take legal action against Kinney County if the verses were not removed from the vehicles.

FFRF Co-President Annie Laurie Gaylor expressed her opinion that the primary role of the Kinney County Sheriff's Office is to enforce the law and maintain peace, rather than engaging in religious preaching. This is an extreme and unacceptable action that goes against the principles of personal beliefs and constitutional requirements.

I would be interested in conducting a survey of law enforcement agencies nationwide. In a situation where one is faced with imminent danger, the question arises: would they seek solace in their faith or rely solely on their own strength?
