Watchman’s Daily Devotional: Credentials and Positions Are Not a Guarantee of the Lordship of Christ in a Leader. By Their Fruits You Will Know Them (Matthew 7:20).
Jude 1:3-4 3 Dear friends, although I was very eager to write to you about the salvation we share, I felt I had to write and urge you to contend for the faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints. 4 For certain men whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are godless men, who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality and deny Jesus Christ our only Sovereign and Lord.
Jude consists of a single chapter as a letter of caution. Jesus entrusted the church with the responsibility of disseminating the gospel to every corner of the globe. As soon as it started doing so, Satan launched a counterattack from a number of different directions. He was the one who brought about the physical attacks.
All that appeared to happen was that the convictions of believers were strengthened. Other others were motivated to commit their life to Christ as a result of the deaths of martyrs. The other sort of assault originated from within. Even when they were promoted to positions of responsibility within the church, prominent persons did not continue to teach the doctrine that the apostles had taught. By using flattery and deception, they were able to convince some members of the church to listen to their designs of destruction.
As of right now, this assault is still going on. Because of the sophistication of these men, it is not always easy to notice when they are doing it. There is almost always some kind of immorality or financial gain involved in everything that happens. Additionally, Paul, Peter, and John are the ones who cautioned the churches against these liars. The reason for this is not that they dispute the identity of Jesus, as that would be absurdly clear.
They reject the authority that He has over their life. The results of their lives are what ultimately frees them. Rather than drawing people to the Lord Jesus Christ, they pull them to themselves. In the event that you were to listen to them talk, you would be filled with thoughts of the individual rather than of Jesus Christ. Jude is telling us that fighting for the faith is something that we must do. Put up a fight against these traitors. Make them public. Point out the places in the Bible where they are wrong. Don't be afraid of them. Call people's attention back to Jesus.
It is important to keep in mind that a leader's leadership of Christ is not necessarily guaranteed by their credentials or positions. You will recognize them by the fruits that they produce (Matthew 7:20).

The Watchman
In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
