To be lawless is to be contrary to the law or to act without regard to the law. Laws are necessary in a sinful world (1 Timothy 1:9), and those who choose to act lawlessly further sin in the world. Mayors and city councils everywhere are lurching to the far-left fringe, dismissing the majority’s concerns over crime, defunding and demoralizing police, and empowering violent criminals. That’s the cause. The effect is rising murder rates in Democrat-run cities all over the country. Americans are dying.
Thanks to “defund the police” and the Democrat cities going along with it, violent crime including homicide is surging in most of America’s largest cities. While the raw numbers are terrible for Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, and other very large cities, it’s Austin, Texas that’s leading by percentage increase year over year.
AUSTIN, Texas — Analysis conducted by the Wall Street Journal found that homicides have spiked in 36 of the nation’s 50 largest cities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
According to WSJ’s data, Austin leads the country in percentage increase of total homicides compared to the previous year, ahead of Chicago, New York and Los Angeles.

Austin’s homicide rate has increased about 64%.

Austin has become a violent city. Three people have been murdered in Austin just in the past week.
Murder #1 — July 16.
Police said the incident happened in the 1200 block of Bonnie Brae Street, near East Rundberg Lane and Interstate Highway 35, at about 1:50 p.m.
According to police, officers arrived and found a man unconscious in his vehicle. He had sustained trauma to his body after a shooting, police said. EMS responded to the scene, but the man was pronounced dead at about 2:15 p.m.
The deceased was identified as Dettrick Dwayne Arnold Harris, 20.
Murder #2 — July 19.
Police officials said Sunday that a 20-year-old Black man died after an early-morning shooting in North Austin.
At 1:36 a.m., 911 dispatchers received calls about a shooting in the parking lot of Pinstack bowling alley. Officers later found a man behind the steering wheel of his vehicle.
The man was transported to Dell Seton Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 5:13 a.m., police said. The victim was identified as Trevon Jaquis Mize-Ellison.
He was 20 years old, and apparently was an innocent bystander to an argument that turned into a gunfight.
Murder #3 — July 20.
Police responded at 2:50 a.m. to a 911 call about an injured woman in the 1400 block of East 51st Street, which is west of Berkman Drive near Interstate 35.
When officers arrived, they found 58-year-old Karen Sue Henson with “severe trauma to her body” outside Delwood Apartments. Austin-Travis County EMS medics took Henson to Dell Seton Medical Center but she was pronounced dead at 3:25 a.m.
Witnesses told detectives that Henson heard a noise outside her window and went to check it out.
Hanson was known for helping the homeless in her community.
There will be no marches for any of these victims. The mayor and city council are too busy denying police and other first responders overtime pay they did give to other city employees.
Austin usually averages around 25 to 50 homicides in a year. It had 47 in 2019. It has already had 27 just a little over halfway through 2020, including the three in the past week.

No Military Officer, President or any other entity has authority over the 2nd Amendment Militia, as far as I can see, since this is never defined within the 2nd Amendment. Anything not defined, the People have the power to define it, is what the Constitution states, unless am wrong. The People have equal power to the States, and the States can not dictate to the People things not written within the Constitution. I need to study it some more, but I can not see any authority above the People when it comes to defining things not addressed in their Constitution. Maybe you can look in to this, as it will likely come down to this when they try to create chaos as a pretext to calling the UN. Probably where this all leads. This would be Treason as far as I am concerned. It is time for Traitors such as these to be Executed, who are working to Subvert and destroy our Nation. We would not be where we are today if punishment had been rendered unto those Criminals within our Govt. in years past.
If the UN comes, then we are at War, and the 2nd Amendment Militia is the only real course for the People, having all authority to implement. We The People can UNITE behind a 2nd Amendment Constitutional Militia, to mobilize against Usurpers of the Constitution to ENFORCE the Constitution and Restore it to the People. Plain and Simple. Let them try to stand against it. Nobody can, Lawfully. Bylaws of Operation of a Constitutional Militia are “Regulated” BY the Constitution. How simple does it get? The Constitution IS the LAW. It IS therefore the “Regulation” of the Militia. And NOBODY can say otherwise over the say of the People concerning this matter. Unless there is something I missed, which I do not think so. All corrections and modifications are welcome. It all needs to be sorted out asap, before the U.N. gets here and asserts itself over the People. Over a People ignorant of who they are.
