Trump’s Timeless Masterpiece, Make Grandiose Promises, Provide Anything You Can, and Then Come Up With Excuses, Trump’s Truth Social, a Rival to Twitter, Has Taken a Beating After Allegations That the App Has Been Plagued by Technical Troubles That Have Left It Inoperable
HNewsWire-"Trump's classic,"Promise the world, provide what you can, and then follow through with executions, if necessary. According to rumors, Trump's Truth Social, a rival to Twitter, has been plagued with technical troubles that have left the app inoperable. Free speech is crucial, so keep that in mind.
the app has been said to be suffering technical difficulties and hence is no longer working, which has caused shares of Trump's Truth Social rival DWAC to plummet (despite promises that it would be up and running smoothly by now).
Even more worrisome news: Reuters reported Monday that two senior executives, both of whom became "key actors" in the organization, had resigned.
RTRs has a lot more to say:
Trump's tremendous brand has made Josh Adams and Billy Boozer two of the most important actors in the company's effort to establish a social-media empire and resist the "cancel culture" left-wing censorship that many conservatives see as a threat.
Since then, both of the company's top management positions have since vacated, according to two persons familiar with the business, less than a year after they were first hired.
Their resignations came as a result of the company's Feb. 20 iPhone app launch failure. As promised by former Rep. Devin Nunes, the app is still unavailable to many users more than a month after it was promised to be operational by March 31.
Another hindrance to expansion is the lack of an Android app, which implies that more than 40% of American consumers would be unable to use the service.
Sources familiar with the company's operations warn that "all bets are off" notwithstanding Reuters' claim that it couldn't establish the specific reasons for the executives' resignations.
According to two individuals familiar with the firm, the departure of two executives essential to the company's app-launch preparations might jeopardize its ability to compete with mainstream platforms like Twitter. Trump's platform, like Twitter, allows people to communicate and express their ideas.
When it comes to the brains behind Truth Social's technology, "all bets are off" if Josh Adams has departed, according to one of those insiders.
According to a second person familiar with the project, Boozer also served as product chief, overseeing the administration of technical infrastructure, design, and development teams.
Reuters was unable to learn why the executives resigned, or whether they had been replaced or had their responsibilities transferred. After leaving their senior positions, it's unclear whether Adams and Boozer are still involved in the project in any form.
The company's current financial sources are likewise unclear. In addition, the SEC has been scrutinizing the SPAC merger that led to the public company's IPO last year. Investors have guaranteed $1 billion to TMTG as part of that arrangement, but they won't provide it to TMTG until the DWAC acquisition is completed.
Another unanswered concern is how TMTG is able to sustain its present rate of development. Through a merger with the blank-check business Digital World Acquisition Corp (DWAC), the company plans to become public. Because of the SEC's inspection, the purchase is unlikely to be completed for many months.
According to DWAC's December regulatory filing, the SEC was looking into the acquisition. As of Sunday, the SEC had not provided any information on the scope of the investigation or responded to a request for comment.
Since its premiere on March 14th, the number of downloads has dropped dramatically, from 866,000 to 60,000.
In addition, according to Reuters, the company's "political leaning" has "restricted its employment pool". There is also the issue of Elon Musk's decision to force Twitter to reconsider its censorship of conservative voices (something that even Jack Dorsey now "regrets"), which could lead to all the pro-"free speech" competitors losing their purpose in the event Musk succeeds in forcing significant changes to the platform's censorship policies.
