Watchman Daily Devotional: God Has Shown Us Over and Over That He Is Faithful, One Little Test Comes Along and We Ask if He Is Really With Us or Not

Believer of Christ(1)

King James Version And he called the name of the place Massah, and Meribah, because of the chiding of the children of Israel, and because they tempted the LORD, saying, Is the LORD among us, or not?

Once more, the people became upset due to the lack of water. Once more, Moses was held responsible. They had not absorbed the final teaching from the miracle of daily provision. The provider of our needs is the Lord. This time, a new element was added to the situation. They inquired about the presence of the God among them.

They witnessed and encountered the remarkable events that occurred in Egypt - from crossing the sea to witnessing water changing, experiencing fear, and receiving bread in the wilderness. After witnessing the glory of the LORD in the guiding cloud, they now question whether God is truly present with them.

No wonder the location was named "Testing and Quarreling." This account will come up multiple times in the text. What is it about humanity that leads to such a lack of belief? Despite numerous demonstrations of God's faithfulness, we still question His presence when faced with a small test. His level of patience is truly remarkable. In this story, Moses was instructed to strike a rock, resulting in an abundant flow of water.

Requesting God to fulfill your desires to demonstrate His presence implies a lack of faith in His teachings and diminishes the countless blessings He has bestowed upon you thus far. When faced with challenges and disagreements, it is important to turn to prayer with unwavering belief. Express your confidence in the faithfulness of God. Reflect on all the instances in your past when He has shown His faithfulness. Then patiently await His guidance.

Imagine how it would feel if your children consistently questioned your care for them. What alternative would you suggest they pursue? What could be said to bring joy to your heart? Will you set an example for them by putting your trust in the highest authority? GOD!

The Great Tribulation

It is our belief that the Great Tribulation referred to in the New Testament Book of Revelation (chapters 6-11) is unfolding before our eyes. In the near future, we will devote the "Tribulation" tab on our "Trending" menu to this emerging reality. As people continue to unplug from mainstream media, our commitment is to present the truth and encourage our audience to understand current events from a Biblical perspective. The Watchman

In the Bible, the Watchman is responsible for keeping watch and warning others of potential danger or impending judgment. The role is mentioned several times in the Old Testament, particularly in the book of Ezekiel. In Ezekiel 33:6, God says to the prophet Ezekiel, "But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand."
