Months after the world seemed to have moved on from the Chinese coronavirus, Britain's Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has warned that he would not rule out imposing another lockdown on the British people.

Despite the economic cost and the effect on the public's mental and physical health, the British government will retain the option of closing down the nation once again, according to Prime Minister David Cameron.

On Friday, Mr. Johnson told Conservative MPs Phillip Davies and Esther McVey on GB News, "I want to stop any such incident ever occurring again, and I can't rule out anything." I can't guarantee we wouldn't be obliged to perform non-pharmaceutical interventions like the ones we did in the future.

"I believe it would be irresponsible for any leader in any democracy to rule out anything that might save a life, and I believe the things we did saved lives."

Mr. Johnson explained his reasoning, saying that a "new variation" of the Chinese coronavirus might develop, warning that there could be a strain of the Chinese coronavirus that affects children more than prior variants.

According to the National Health Service (NHS), one in every six youngsters in England would have mental health difficulties in 2021, up from one in every nine in the per-lockdown year of 2017. Girls between the ages of 11 and 16 were the most affected.

There have long been warnings about the effect of less social interaction and a fearful atmosphere on youngsters, with a 2021 research showing that the number of per-teens committing self-harm had more than risen in the previous six years.
