LA Unified School District Retains Outdoor Mask Mandate.

While Los Angeles County is allowing K–12 students to roam mask-free outdoors beginning Feb. 16, the outdoor mask mandate will persist in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) until at least the end of this week, according to authorities.

The LAUSD Superintendent Alberto Carvalho, who just started his new role this week, indicated on Feb. 15 that he will evaluate the outdoor mask rule to see whether it should be kept next week.

“Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Los Angeles Unified has remained aligned with our health partners,” he said on Twitter. “As our positive rates from the Omicron variation decline, I will continue to cooperate with our medical director, Dr. Smita Malhotra, and Los Angeles County officials.”

The outdoor mask mandate in Los Angeles County was relaxed on Feb. 16 for outdoor mega-events as well as outdoor K–12 schools and childcare establishments.

According to the county’s Public Health Department Director Dr. Barbara Ferrer, the county’s indoor mask mandate will continue until COVID-19 case numbers remain at “moderate” levels—below 730 per day—for two weeks in a row. This is expected to happen by the end of March, given the steadily declining case rate.

While the statewide indoor mask policy for vaccinated people expires on February 16, the California Department of Public Health confirmed this week that the indoor mask rule for schools will remain in effect until at least February 28.

Meanwhile, beginning February 16, students, teachers, and others on school grounds in the San Diego Unified School District can go outside without a mask. Field excursion restrictions have also been abolished.

The school district will reconvene its group of scientific experts from the University of California–San Diego to begin debating what circumstances would make lifting the indoor mask policy appropriate.

As the winter Omicron surge fades, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health revised the mask compliance obligations for the post-surge period, while a new state bill granting schools access to kids’ COVID-19 immunization records was introduced on Feb. 4.

Los Angeles County reported 15,427 new COVID-19 cases and 85 new deaths on February 4th. For the seven days leading up to Feb. 3, the daily average number of hospitalizations fell to 3,233, the lowest level in several weeks.

In the last seven days, the average number of daily new cases reported has been around 15,600, down from 28,000 the week before. The daily average level of positivity has likewise dropped to 8%.

However, the number of new deaths has remained constant, with dozens of individuals dying every day as a result of the CCP virus.

Barbara Ferrer, the director of the Department of Public Health, stated during a press conference on Thursday that once hospitalizations drop below 2,500 for seven days in a row, Los Angeles may be deemed post-surge.

Residents can go outside without wearing masks after the surge, including at outdoor events and outdoor spaces like schools and childcare institutions. Most indoor situations, including as offices, public transportation, and healthcare facilities, will still require masks.

“Mask wearing is a very effective strategy for reducing COVID-19 transmission. Thus, as we move through the short term, masking will continue to be a key part of the post-surge COVID-19 strategy, ” Ferrer stated.

Los Angeles is one of the most populated cities in the United States. As the number of people who have tested positive for COVID-19 continues to decline, some citizens are calling for the COVID-19 vaccine mandate for indoor venues to be repealed. The Los Angeles City Clerk accepted a petition for circulation on February 3rd. The petition requests the city council to remove the need that people present proof of vaccination before attending specific interior spaces like restaurants and gyms, as well as outdoor mega-events.

According to the city clerk’s office, the petition requires around 65,000 signatures, or 15% of registered Los Angeles voters, to become effective.

According to public health organizations in Orange and San Diego counties, the Omicron variant has been on the decline for the past week.

On February 4, the Health Care Agency of Orange County reported 2,795 new cases, 746 existing hospitalizations, and 12 new deaths. According to the county’s Health and Human Services Agency, 3,736 new infections were reported, with 1,014 current hospitalizations and 29 new fatalities.

Despite the general decline in cases, democratic Assemblywoman Akilah Weber and San Diego school district officials unveiled a new measure on Feb. 4 that would enable school districts access to the state’s immunization registry to identify who has been vaccinated against COVID-19. Vaccination data for diseases like measles and mumps are already available to schools, but not for COVID-19.

Furthermore, the bill mandates vaccination providers to enter immunization data into an immunization registry, which has previously been voluntary and never required by law.

“This makes it very easy for the school districts, it makes it easy for the families. So we know who is out there, who has their immunization, who needs their immunization,” Weber explained.

Weber’s measure was introduced as San Diego Unified School District is fighting a lawsuit over its vaccine mandate.

Let Them Choose, the parent advocacy group, filed the lawsuit in October 2021, claiming that only the state, not the school board, has the authority to add a vaccine to the list of required vaccinations for on-campus learning, and that the district does not allow for personal belief exemptions as required by state law.

On Dec. 20, 2021, San Diego Superior Court Judge John Meyer tentatively ruled in favor of the parent advocacy group, and the school system appealed the decision the next day, requesting that the issue be heard by an appellate court.

“Weber’s bill is just kind of another example of the state really getting ahead of themselves and being too sure of themselves and overreaching,” Sharon McKeeman of Let Them Choose told CBS8.

If the bill is passed, it will go into effect the next school year.

Senator Richard Pan is a supporter of the bill, which was presented last week and makes COVID-19 vaccine mandatory for students attending K-12 schools in person.

In the United States, an increasing number of biotech, genomics, and medtech companies with ties to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) are raising worries about the security of medical and genetic data.

China’s sovereign wealth fund has more than $1 trillion in assets, accounting for more than 33% of global sovereign wealth fund holdings. As part of the CCP’s Made in China 2025 initiative, most of this money has been pouring into U.S. biotech companies since 2017. Biotech is particularly identified in the industrial policy as a strategic industry that is eligible for government funding. As a result, Beijing has set aside $100 billion for investment in the industry.

China spent $5.1 billion in biotech companies in the United States in 2018, up 25% from the previous year. The People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is participating in biotech research to produce bioweapons that target specific ethnic groups, as part of the CCP’s “military-civil fusion policy.” The health, pharmaceuticals, and biotechnology sectors received half of China’s investment in the United States in 2019, followed by financial and business services, and information and communications technology. The number of Chinese drugmakers filing for FDA approval was at an all-time high in 2021.

In the United States, the number of Chinese biotech companies and joint ventures is gradually expanding. Innocube Bioscience Inc., based in Texas, is the U.S. headquarters for China’s Lepu Biopharma Co., which is strongly backed by the State Development and Investment Corporation of Beijing (SDIC). BeiGene, a Chinese pharmaceutical and research company based in San Mateo, California, undertakes gene sequencing research on molecularly targeted therapies. The company’s Chinese research center, which has received major support from the Chinese government, focuses on genetic engineering.

U.S. people and even the government assist the CCP in infiltrating the bio and medical industries in the United States. The US Army Contracting Command awarded Chinese firm Andon Health Co. a $1.28 billion contract to supply COVID-19 self-test kits last month. In December, Andon’s iHealth Labs subsidiary signed a $120 million contract with the New York State Department of Health for self-test kits.

Republican legislators reacted angrily to these purchases. The Republicans proposed a law barring the purchase of Chinese-made COVID test kits, which was defeated by the Democrats. The purchases were hailed by the Chinese tabloid Global Times as evidence that the US is reliant on China to plug supply-chain gaps.

Complete Genomics, a California-based corporation that maintains the genetic information of US residents, was purchased by the PLA-linked BGI Group, formerly known as the Beijing Genomics Institute. A Chinese government sovereign wealth fund bought 1.4 million shares in BGI Genomics last year. State Development and Investment Corporation (SDIC), another wealth fund, owns more than 33% of BGI. Huatai Securities, a Chinese state-owned securities firm, became BGI’s fifth-largest stakeholder after purchasing shares from two other Chinese state-owned securities firms.

WuXi Pharma Tech bought NextCODE Health in the United States in 2015, becoming WuXi NextCODE Genomics. There were 15 Chinese genetic testing or genomic sequencing companies operating in the United States as of 2019.

WuXi Biologics purchased a Pfizer manufacturing unit in China, gaining access to some of Pfizer’s data in the process. In 2015, the corporation also purchased a share in 23andMe, an American DNA testing company. Massachusetts and New Jersey are now home to WuXi Biologics. It received a funding from the Chinese government to build a pharmaceuticals facility in Delaware. WuXi Advanced Therapies (WuXi ATU) announced the opening of a cell and gene therapy testing center in the Philadelphia Navy Yard in November 2021.

The Foreign Investment Risk Review Modernization Act of 2018 (FIRRMA) broadened the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States’ (CFIUS) authority to ban investments that the government considers to be a national security danger. CFIUS is increasingly using its jurisdiction to put a stop to Chinese biotech investments.

A number of Chinese biotech enterprises are expected to be blacklisted by the US in the near future. Meanwhile, a slew of Chinese biotech corporations are working in the United States, harvesting Americans’ genetic data.

It’s imperative that we take note of China’s use of DNA sequencing data to produce biometric facial recognition software. This armed the Chinese communist party with the ability to find any face, as long as they’ve attained DNA samples from the subject before hand. But as we know, the CCP has already done that among other jurassic measures. So the question remains, why has the American public not been made aware of the lengths that the CCP has gone to persecute these people?

The answer to that is simple, it’s because many Americans will see the most raw results of malicious intent behind a computer. Considering the divide we’ve seen in society due to COVID-19 propaganda. The person next to you on a bus could be experiencing life in America completely bought into Fauci’s lies. But your choice to refuse vaccination could become troublesome for the sleeping sheep. Only because the lying “omniscient” medical practitioners suggest as such.
