Politicians in the United States and around the world censured the Canadian government after it announced it would utilize anti-terrorism laws to subdue a peaceful dissent of its own citizens.
"We are broadening the extent of Canada's anti-money laundering and fear monger financing rules, with the goal that they cover crowdfunding platforms and the payment specialist organizations they use," said Canadian appointee state head Chrystia Freeland at a question and answer session yesterday.

The Canadian government's utilization of terrorism laws against a peaceful movement of its own citizens drew international condemnation.
The President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, said Canada had lost its validity on matters of democracy and opportunity.
"Are these individuals who like to give examples to other nations about democracy and opportunity?" asked Bukele.
"This would one say one is of the highest level nations in the 'democracy index'? Your validity on these subjects is currently worth 0."
Putin: Western officials have been raising fears for months that Russia could soon invade its neighbor, and have pointed to reports of a troop build-up on the two countries’ shared border, as well as joint exercises with Belarus.
