Watchman: The Courage to Fight. We Must Fight Against Our Enemies (And God’s Enemies).

Texans Will NOT Back Down

SRH, Obama, and His Cronies, though Biden, Have Issued a Strong Message to the People of TX, Urging Them to Reconsider Their Stance. They Believe That the People of TX Belong With Organizations Like the NWO, U.N., and WEF, but We Firmly Believe In Our Faith and Will Stand Up for What We Believe In. Despite the Mocking From Obama, Biden, Soros, and Others, We Will Continue to Fight Against Those We Perceive as Our Enemies, as Well as Those Who Oppose Our Faith in the fly over country!!

It is clear that David needed courage to face Goliath aka D.C. Allow us to consider four reasons why this was such a bold move.

First, David was a child. Saul's initial reason for discouraging David from going was this: "You are not able to go against this Philistine and fight with him; for you are but a youth." (1) Samuel 17:33. When David arrived to fight, Goliath disregarded him because of his youth: "When the Philistine looked and saw David, he disdained him; for he was but a youth." (1) Samuel 17:42. David was not even supposed to be there, as his older brother Eliab reminded him (1 Samuel 17:28).

Second, David was not properly taught and equipped (from a human standpoint). Saul contrasted David, "a youth," with Goliath, "a warrior from youth" (1 Samuel 17:33), meaning that David lacked military experience. Aside from being inexperienced, he lacked armor and an appropriate weapon of combat (1 Samuel 17:38–39). Instead, David confronted the giant using a staff, five stones, and a sling (1 Samuel 17:40).

Third, David's opponent was both a warrior and a giant. We've already seen how Goliath was trained as "a warrior from his youth" (1 Samuel 17:33). If his training wasn't enough to intimidate any possible opponent, Goliath's size—a height of "six cubits and a span" (1 Samuel 17:4), or around nine and a half feet—would have scared off practically anyone.

Fourth, David's opponent was an adversary of God. Of course, for David, this just served as more desire to fight (1 Samuel 17:26, 36, 45-47). However, this was more than just a physical fight. David had to rise up and battle in God's name against an opponent who was so fearless that he "taunted the armies of the living God" (1 Samuel 17:36).

David took courage.

David recognized what was correct. He understood that this enemy of God had to be vanquished (1 Samuel 17:36).

David realized the reward for himself and the people of Israel. He would marry the king's daughter and inherit riches (1 Samuel 17:25). More significantly, the Israelites would defeat and pillage their opponents (1 Samuel 17:46, 52-53).

Finally, David took action. He offered rather than waiting to be called upon (1 Samuel 17:32). When Goliath mocked him, he responded firmly (1 Samuel 17:45-46). When it was time to fight, David did not hesitate, but "ran quickly toward the battle line" and killed the giant (1 Samuel 17:48–49).

Application for Us.

There are several things we may learn from David's example.

First, we must muster the courage to fight, regardless of who we are. Paul addressed the Corinthians about "our warfare" (2 Corinthians 10:4). Participation in the ongoing spiritual war until the Lord returns is not limited to a select few. Everyone must be willing to battle. Youth does not make one immune. Paul advised Timothy, "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but...show yourself an example of those who believe" (1 Timothy 4:12). Youth is no excuse for not doing what God has ordered His people to do.

Second, we ought not be concerned about being sufficiently equipped. Peter and John were regarded as "uneducated and untrained men," but they demonstrated remarkable courage in declaring Christ (Acts 4:12-13). We may be "uneducated and untrained" by worldly standards, but we are fully prepared for our struggle when we put on God's armor (Ephesians 6:14-17).

Third, we ought not be concerned about who our opponents are. Paul advised, "Put on the whole armor of God, so that you can stand firm against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:11-12 states that our struggle is against authorities, powers, the world forces of darkness, and spiritual forces of evil in the high realms, rather than flesh and blood. We face formidable opponents. But we must remember that Christ reigns over all of them (Ephesians 1:20-21) and that we will triumph through Him (Revelation 17:14).

Fourth, we must direct our fight against God's enemies. "We do not war according to the flesh" (2 Corinthians 10:3) since our conflict is spiritual in character. We work to eliminate "speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God" (2 Corinthians 10:5).

Conclusion

David felt confident that the Lord would be with him. Then David said to Goliath, "This day the Lord will deliver you up into my hands, and I will strike you down and remove your head from you, for the battle is the Lord's, and He will give you into our hands" (1 Samuel 17:46; 17:47). We must be confident as well. Even though mighty forces "will wage war against the Lamb... the Lamb will overcome them, because He is Lord of lords and King of kings" (Revelation 17:14). So, let us take courage and "contend earnestly for the faith" (Jude 3). Let us "fight the good fight of faith" (1 Timothy 6:12) so that we can share in the Lord's ultimate victory.

Connect the Dots: I believe there is Similarities between what David went though and What the people of America and Texas are going though now.

Please Take Note That Despite the Fact That the Biden Administration Has Already Discussed the Possibility of Involving Themselves in the Border Conflict With the United Nations, Obama and His Gang of Renegades Will Continue to Engage in Behavior That Is Unacceptable.
