$644,398 in Fines Accrued Against Mask Violators In Commercial Flight Industry.

Since February 2021, the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has suggested $644,398 in fines for 922 COVID-19 mask violators on commercial flights, in airports and railway stations, or on public transportation services, according to the government.

All but 44 of the TSA fines, according to the government report, were for failing to wear masks as required on flights or, less frequently, in airports. The remaining passengers in surface transportation, such as transit, train, and bus, were unmasked.

Since the transit mask regulations went into place, the government has given warnings to more than 2,700 travelers, citing more than 7,000 documented cases.

TSA announced in late October that it had suggested fines of $85,990 for 190 mask violations and issued warnings to over 2,200 others. TSA announced last week that mask restrictions at airports and on planes would be extended until April 18.

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has investigated reports of 6,800 disruptive flight passengers since the beginning of 2021, including roughly 4,800 for not wearing masks. It has launched 450 investigations and proposed fines totaling more than $5 million.

TSA fines were $501,388 for 788 onboard air accidents with an average fine of $636 per.

According to a report by the Government Accountability Office (GAO), the TSA has levied 18 civil penalties totaling $57,065 ($3,170 on average) for not wearing masks at airport checkpoints, and 160 others totaling $57,795. A total of 44 tickets have been issued for incidents involving surface transportation, totaling $28,150.

Despite hundreds of reports of travelers failing to comply, two U.S. legislators in the House of Representatives revealed last year that the TSA had given only $2,350 in total fines to ten passengers through mid-September.

According to the GAO, the TSA released an information circular for air transportation operators in November that detailed the kind of information “required for an inquiry” as well as “recommended procedures for acquiring information, such as from witnesses to accidents.”

The Biden administration has come under fire for terminating the China Initiative, a contentious Justice Department program aimed at combatting Chinese Communist Party espionage (CCP).

In a March 8 letter to U.S. Attorney General Merrick Garland acquired by the Epoch Times, Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt chastised the administration for stopping the project “because to concerns over the perception of prejudice.”

Schmitt remarked, “I am perplexed by the Department of Justice’s recent decision to end the successful ‘China Initiative’ approach.” “This strategy considered a number of foreign actors’ risks to the United States and prudently chose the communist regime of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) as the most pressing.”

Following concerns that ethnic Chinese academics were being unfairly targeted, the DOJ ended the initiative last month.

During a press conference announcing the program’s termination, Assistant Attorney General Matthew Olsen stated, “I want to stress my opinion that the department’s actions have been prompted by serious national security concerns.”

“However, by grouping cases under the China Initiative rubric, we contributed to a harmful perception that the department has a lower standard for investigating and prosecuting criminal conduct involving that country, or that we have a different attitude toward people with racial, ethnic, or familial ties to China.”

The declaration came after the DOJ undertook an internal evaluation of the program in response to several claims of racism from Chinese intellectuals and researchers. Although the investigation found no evidence of racial bias in the China Initiative, Olsen believes the program requires a “fresh strategy.”

Critics of the initiative claimed it stifled U.S.-China scientific collaboration.

According to the findings of a study done jointly by the University of Arizona and the Committee of 100, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting Sino–American relations, the program has terrified ethnic Chinese working in American universities. It was discovered that over 42% of ethnic Chinese scientists in American institutions were considering leaving the country as a result of the program.

Others have noted the difficulty in avoiding the impression of racial bias because the Chinese Communist Party intentionally recruits ethnic Chinese persons for espionage and other operations. Furthermore, ethnic Chinese persons living in the United States are frequently targets of the regime’s operations.

The CCP encouraged its operatives in the United States to frighten ethnic Chinese protesters into returning to China to be imprisoned in one such campaign, “Operation Fox Hunt,” by threatening their families. As part of the China Initiative, ten accused CCP Fox Hunt operatives were prosecuted.

In his letter, Schmitt noted that the Biden administration has accused the CCP of pursuing a campaign of intimidation against ethnic Chinese in the United States in order to obtain military and trade secrets, of leading cyber campaigns against the country, and of targeting U.S. citizens in order to obtain military and trade secrets.

In light of the CCP’s warning, Schmitt said that halting the program “projects weakness, emboldens our enemies, makes our country less safe, and puts the personal safety of each and every American citizen at jeopardy.”

Leaders from throughout the American intelligence community testified before the House Intelligence Committee on March 8 that China’s communist system is the most serious threat to the US.

According to Schmitt, the nation’s liberty would be jeopardized if it did not undertake effective, albeit unpopular, security initiatives.

“The world is a dangerous place, and pandering and political correctness do not protect liberty,” Schmitt remarked. “It is preserved by a singleness of mind and objective, to constantly hone and practice lethal fighting abilities, to be willing and able to meet any opponent on any battlefield and emerge triumphant.”

It’s no surprise that the Biden administration has deemed this initiative “racist”, as a scapegoat to not face the inevitable threat that China poses. The international espionage conducted by the CCP will continue unchecked until their plan to become technologically autonomous is fulfilled.

We can expect a falling empire like the CCP to attempt to drag everyone down with them, because that’s what cowards do.
